Learn about our customers: anvilogic.com/customers JOB DESCRIPTION As a Principal Software Engineer reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering, you will be a strategic asset across the entire engineering organization, including our high scale data ingestion and processing pipeline, our advanced workflow features, and our AI agents. You will work directly on company critical projects and act as a mentor and standard bearer for engineers throughout the organization. Develop and evangelize architectural best practices for operating maintainable, high scale systems and review designs and code to ensure those practices are being followed Mentor tech leads across various functional areas in developing non-functional requirements, performing code and architecture reviews, and communicating technical concepts at scale Establish operational rigor within engineering for monitoring, alerting, and responding to incidents Work directly with engineering teams to design, build, and operate key parts of Anvilogic’s infrastructure Minimum Qualifications 12+ years of software development experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Significant experience leading large scale, data heavy, company critical projects, through design, development, and operations Experience defining and evangelizing best practices around architecture, operations, and coding guidelines Experience mentoring senior engineers and tech leads in how to communicate technical topics at scale, define non-functional requirements, measure SLOs, and balance tech foundation and product timelines Ability to run openloop, maximizing engineering impact by balancing time spent on direct development, architectural and code review, and mentorship Ability to quickly come up to speed on our tech stack, which is a mix of python and java, deployed on AWS Preferred Qualifications Experience working with large scale data lakes like Snowflake and Databricks or SIEMs like Splunk Experience deploying services using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS SAM, CloudFormation, or CDK). You will work directly on company critical projects related to how our users’ data is brought into our data stores, normalized across different data stores, and exposed for analysis, using technologies such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and Splunk. Design, build, and operate data ingestion and normalization pipelines Work with product management teams to map out non-functional requirements and implement those requirements in your services Deploy and monitor resources in cloud and data lake providers Spread knowledge of data pipeline best practices throughout Anvilogic through mentorship, documentation, and brown bag sessions Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of software development experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with data lakes such as Snowflake or Databricks Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Experience with defining non-functional requirements, measuring SLOs, and balancing tech foundation and product timelines Ability to quickly come up to speed on our data pipeline techstack, which uses Python deployed on Snowflake and Databricks via AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will be responsible for building a territory in your respective region primarily through prospecting for new business and expanding existing accounts. You will report to and work closely with the SVP of Sales to create a GTM strategy that will maintain a 3-4x pipeline and meet/exceed quarterly targets. The qualified candidate will build territory and account plans, establish a referenceable customer base through the execution of transactions and the Adoption of the Anvilogic Platform. Develop and execute Territory and Opportunity Plans. Maintain a pipeline at 3–4x coverage through consistent prospecting. Demonstrate strong knowledge of Anvilogic use cases and be prepared to articulate value. Build trusted relationships with Security teams and key stakeholders.
