We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a full-time capacity. Position Overview: We are hiring a full-time Office/Shop Assistant who will support daily operations at our headquarters and play a key role in coordinating and attending antique expositions/trade shows around the country. This is a hands-on, in-person position with a strong customer service and organizational component. Key Responsibilities: Office, working Shop, & Inventory Support: ● Assist with day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks ● Open, sort, and inventory shipments ● Organize, tidy, and maintain office and storage areas ● Handle light cleaning/maintenance tasks ● File and maintain records ● Fulfill customer orders - office/shop is not open to the public ● Respond to client inquiries via phone and email professionally and promptly ● Cross-train in functional tasks to provide coverage of key duties for colleagues during their absence/vacation to ensure seamless operations. Exposition Travel & Sales: ● 8–10 shows per year, 4–7 days each, some may be back-to-back ● Drive to antique shows and expositions across the U.S. ● Set up and break down displays ● Assist with in-person sales and customer engagement ● Represent Antique Cupboard with professionalism and enthusiasm ● Some show locations may include locations such as Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia ● Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift 40 lbs or more Show Planning & Scheduling: ● Coordinate hotel and travel arrangements for each show ● Maintain master calendar of show dates and employee vacation schedules ● Help build and implement internal systems for managing travel and time off ● Ensure all logistics are handled in advance for a smooth execution of events Qualifications: ● High school diploma or equivalent required ● Strong organizational skills with attention to detail ● Excellent communication and people skills ● Strong work ethic and ability to work independently ● Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for long periods ● Basic computer literacy (email, internet, calendar systems, etc.) ● Willingness and availability to travel ● Excellent driving record ● Prior customer service or retail sales experience is a plus ● Experience with scheduling or coordination is a plus Additional Information: ● 40 hours per week (in-person only). ● No remote work ● 90-day trial period to determine long-term fit ● Opportunity to grow into a management position Benefits (after 1 year of employment): ● 401(k) ● Profit sharing ● Paid vacation time after 1 year ● Paid major holidays Please Note: This position does not offer health insurance.
