Summary This position, reporting to the Associate Director of Sales, will sell AIChE’s advertising portfolio. This includes: Print and digital advertising (magazine display ads, special sections, newsletters) Lead generation products (sponsored webinars, whitepapers, and custom sponsorships) Thought leadership and content marketing opportunities In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in connecting industry leaders and solution providers with AIChE’s highly engaged professional audience. You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, nurturing long-term client relationships, and shaping the success of new advertising products and campaigns. Key Responsibilities Develop and grow revenue across a diverse portfolio of advertising and sponsorship products. Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with both new and existing partners. Lead and manage global process safety projects, develop technical content, and expand CCPS initiatives worldwide. | Extensive experience in chemical engineering or related field, recognized expertise in process safety, and strong project and program management skills. | Sr. Director CCPS Projects & Technical Programs will provide overall projects and technical leadership for CCPS Body of Knowledge and related AIChE initiatives, leveraging regular contacts between CCPS members, DIERS members and other AIChE divisions, as appropriate. This is a global role. The incumbent will advance CCPS technical programs, content and offerings globally and work with the CCPS Executive Director and other team members to implement strategies to meet organizational goals. The incumbent will also lead the CCPS Business Development activities, with initial focus on strengthening CCPS position in Europe region and global acquisition of members from industry segments that are not currently served by CCPS. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead CCPS staff and consultants in the expansion of CCPS Body of Knowledge. Lead CCPS project execution process and oversee CCPS project execution; lead key CCPS projects Manage project budgets, monitor project progress and address issues as they arrive. Provide subject matter expertise on all matters relating to CCPS technical content on a global basis. On behalf of CCPS ED, organize / lead CCPS technical steering committee meetings. On behalf of CCPS ED, organize / lead CCPS Planning Board, manage CCPS project planning development process; coordinate project proposal creation and balloting. Become a Level 1 Process Safety Trainer and lead / support AIChE Process Safety Management training portfolio. Be a senior level participant in the CCPS membership recruitment and deeper engagement member service activities. Lead / oversee efforts for intellectual property protection including copyright and branding issues related to the CCPS logo and CCPS Products. Provide technical leadership and supervision to CCPS Staff and consultants reporting to the position. Provide technical leadership on updating and maintenance of CCPS Technical Tools. Solicits grants from appropriate sources; organizes grant projects and tracks required grantor documentation. Along with CCPS Executive Director, represent CCPS and AIChE globally with government organizations, other associations, and the press as part of CCPS’ Responsible Collaboration outreach. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will oversee a large body of CCPS staff consultants and technical staff personnel supporting / managing CCPS project activities, will oversee Lead Subject Matter Experts and Technical Lead, including Engineering Specialists / project managers, as well as facilitate roles that are focused on developing technical content. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is a demanding senior level global position that requires a personal commitment to the missions of CCPS, AIChE, and other AIChE technology alliances and the ability to handle a diverse project load. The position may be fulfilled via telecommuting by a candidate with demonstrated ability to work across geographic boundaries with multi-location teams. The position is expected to require about 25% travel, including international travel. Position Summary The Grant & Financial Technology Manager will play a critical role in the invoicing, reporting, and compliance aspects of our grant-funded programs. The Grant Accountant will coordinate certain financial and operational activities across the program teams, accounting and finance teams, sub-recipients and the federal government. In addition, the Grant Accountant will assist the Accounting team in certain monthly close activities. The Grant & Financial Technology Manager will be relied on to identify opportunities to gain efficiencies and insights and to eliminate manual effort to ensure accuracy in our accounting and reporting functions. Once identified, this role will own delivery of solutions in collaboration with team members, IT and technology partners. This role will move us further along on our journey of not just reporting figures, but effectively telling the story. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, organized, creative, technologically savvy, and able to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial audiences. Responsibilities: Develop, monitor, and update grant budgets throughout their life cycle in coordination with program teams. Track expenditures and ensure alignment with grant budgets and allowable cost principles. Review monthly program financials. Analyze budget-to-actuals and provide variance reports to program teams on a regular basis. Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices to grant funders. Address invoice questions in writing and in conversations with grant funders. Manage the invoice flow within the organization and from subrecipients of the grants. Ensure financial expenditures and processes adhere to grant agreements, federal regulations (e.g., 2 CFR 200), and organizational policies. Manage full contract compliance by cross-referencing invoices against the contract's specific requirements, including allowable expenses, payment rates, and deliverables. Assess whether any variations or deviations from the contract need to be explained or approved. Support external audits by preparing necessary schedules and backup documentation. Utilize financial systems to streamline grant tracking, reporting, and invoicing. Identify and implement process improvements. Perform various financial close activities. Review existing accounting processes and procedures to identify opportunities to gain efficiencies and insights and to eliminate manual effort to ensure accuracy in our accounting and reporting functions. Once identified, this role will own delivery of solutions in collaboration with team members, IT and technology partners. Lead role on evaluation of general ledger system and potential replacements. Update and/or create documentation for key accounting processes. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or similar. 4+ years of experience in public accounting is preferred. If not, at least 5-7 years of experience in a private accounting role or some combination of private and public accounting experience. Non-profit experience is helpful, but not required. Experience reviewing contracts, grant proposals or other complex agreements. Experience managing the financial reporting for grant-funded work is a plus. Technology: Accounts Payable system and General Ledger exposure. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (i.e. PIVOT tables). Knowledge of data visualization tools (i.e. Power BI) beneficial. Involvement in a financial system implementation or other technology adoption effort a plus. Skills: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, prioritize, and work well under deadlines. Demonstrates a commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness. Strong project management and change management skills. Works effectively with details as well as high-level concepts.
