Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Leverage the latest web technologies to develop rich but simple user experiences for new products in development Work with our product team to iterate on designs and user experience flows Work as part of an independent, cross-functional squad to deliver critical retail and admin portal features across the technology stack Build reusable, testable code that will help drive engineering maturity and efficiency Must Have Experience: 5-10 years of experience building web applications 3-5 years of experience using Vue.Js front-end framework 1-3 years of experience with TypeScript Experience delivering frontend software that is correct, stable, and security compliant Autonomy and ownership - can work without supervision AI-first development mindset. Comfortable using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex as a primary part of your workflow, not an occasional assist Real experience shipping production code with AI agents and strong opinions on where these tools excel and where they fall short. Attention to detail and an understanding of what makes a good user experience Ability to participate in a Git-based development environment with standard work management tooling Basic understanding of common AWS services (S3, CloudFront, etc) and how they can be applied to solve business problems Entrepreneurial spirit. About the Role We’re seeking a detail-oriented and design-savvy Junior Freelance Graphic Designer to support our marketing team with the creation of polished digital assets and well-structured presentation decks. This role is ideal for a freelancer with a strong visual eye, excellent formatting discipline, and a desire to work in a high-quality, fast-paced environment. What You’ll Be Doing Design digital assets for marketing use, including visuals for social media, email, paid ads, and website content. Build and format high-quality presentation decks (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Figma Buzz) for internal and external use. Maintain brand consistency across all designs, working within established brand guidelines and templates. Support light template updates, asset clean-up, and visual consistency reviews. Iterate on feedback quickly and communicate clearly with marketing team stakeholders. Help ensure all visuals are optimized for platform use (resolution, dimensions, file formats). Qualifications 1–2 years of graphic design experience (freelance, internship, or part-time experience welcome). Strong proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and either Google Slides or PowerPoint. Excellent attention to detail—especially in layout, spacing, typography, and formatting. Able to follow design direction and brand guidelines with precision. Strong communication and organizational skills; can work independently and meet deadlines. Bonus: Basic familiarity with Canva, or content management tools. Preferred / Nice to Have Some experience creating assets for social media, email, or digital marketing campaigns. Exposure to print production workflows (file prep, proofing). Basic skills or interest in motion or animation (GIFs, simple video graphics). Experience in a startup or fast‑moving environment. Familiarity with adapting brand systems across multiple digital platforms. A portfolio that demonstrates clean, modern, professional design work—particularly decks or digital visuals. Compensation Hourly rate: $30–$55/hr, depending on experience, portfolio strength, and location. Engagement type: Freelance, project-based with potential for ongoing work.
