Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for quantum computing products, translating complex technologies into customer-centric narratives, and engaging with stakeholders. | Requires 5-10+ years in hi-tech product marketing, experience with quantum hardware, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts. | Brief Description The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) provides strategic, technical, and market-facing leadership for assigned quantum computing products and solutions. This role is responsible for defining product positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and customer value articulation within the quantum computing hardware market. The Product Marketing Manager has a strong understanding of quantum computing customers, technologies, customer use cases, and market dynamics, and serves as the connective tissue between engineering, marketing, sales, and customers. Responsibilities include supporting new product launches, portfolio rationalization, market expansion initiatives, and continuous improvement of product-market fit Essential Job Duties • Serve as the Product Marketing subject matter expert for assigned quantum computing market. • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product introductions, feature launches, and major platform updates. • Define and maintain product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that clearly communicate technical differentiation and customer impact. • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to translate complex quantum technologies into clear, customer-centric narratives. • Lead customer and market discovery, engaging directly with enterprise, government, academic, and partner stakeholders to understand needs, use cases, buying criteria and pricing targets. • Support key customer programs and sales engagements by developing technical marketing material, including sales pitch presentations, white papers, and case studies. • Enable sales and business development teams through customer identification, sales training, and competitive analysis. • Drive product portfolio rationalization, lifecycle management, and messaging updates based on market feedback and product performance. • Monitor and analyze industry trends, including quantum hardware roadmaps, competitive landscape, and regulatory or government initiatives impacting adoption. • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, customer visits, and thought leadership events. • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between customer requirements, product capabilities, and commercial strategy. • Ensure all work is completed with high quality, accuracy, and within established timelines, with minimal supervision. • Work independently while proactively communicating status, insights, and risks to stakeholders and leadership. • Understand and support company quality, compliance, and security policies in all product marketing processes. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field. • Bachelor’s degree in a quantum-related discipline is preferred. Experience And/or Training • 5-10+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or product management within hi-tech industries. • Demonstrated experience in quantum computing with exposure to quantum hardware and systems. • Proven ability to translate highly technical concepts into compelling customer-facing value propositions. • Experience supporting enterprise, government, or research customers is strongly preferred. Licenses/Certifications • Relevant certifications in product marketing or quantum computing are a plus. Travel • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and industry events will be required as driven by business needs. Additional Skill Set • Strong understanding of quantum computing market dynamics, key players, and adoption challenges. • Working knowledge of manufacturing and low volume/high mix production environments. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations. • Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills (internal and external). • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across cross-functional teams. • Analytic mindset with experience using market research, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to guide strategy. We offer a competitive base salary in the $125,000 to $135,0000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
