Project Summary Seeking two highly autonomous Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) specializing in Department of War (DoW) and Army NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 security controls. The primary mission of this role is to architect, enforce, and sustain audit compliance for the Vantage system, specifically applying the Financial Management overlay. The successful candidates will operate independently to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable security operations, authoring the critical policy documents and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) required to ensure continuous compliance and audit readiness. Key Responsibilities Deep, practical experience selecting, implementing, and assessing NIST SP 800-53 Rev5 security and privacy controls specifically within DoW and Army operational environments. Required For This Opportunity • Financial Management Overlay Proven expertise in applying Financial Management overlays and understanding Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) mandates as they apply to enterprise software and data systems. • Policy & TTP Authorship Exceptional technical writing capabilities: ability to independently draft clear, authoritative, and actionable security policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and TTPs tailored to the Vantage system. • Audit Readiness & Defense Strong background in preparing artifacts, managing compliance artifacts, and defending system posture during formal security assessments and financial audits. • Independent Execution High degree of self-reliance; capable of identifying compliance gaps, designing solutions, and driving them to completion with minimal supervision while aligning with the broader mission. The targeted base salary range for this role is $159,000-$240,000 per year. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Sr. Full Stack Java Developer. The Full Stack Developer will be a part of an agile software development team and integral in performing software development, O&M support, and adhere to agile methodology and scrum ceremonies. This role will design and implement backed APIs using Java and Spring Boot, design and build secure and responsive UIs using React, and develop optimized PostgreSQL schemas and queries. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong verbal and written skills, experiences with the technology and business tools listed below, and will have proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications from concept through deployment. Key Responsibilities: Provide full-stack design and development support using Java, Spring Model View Controller (MVC) Framework/Spring Security/Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL. Design and implement modern UI components using React, Typescript/JavaScript, and reusable design patterns. Implement normalized PostgreSQL schemas and entity relationships supporting system scalability. Develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs for data access and integration. Support and document data migration efforts, ensuring integrity and consistency between legacy and new systems. Plan and execute application deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines. Assist in supporting all aspects of the project to include all phases of life cycle development. Ensure compliance with 508 accessibility, enterprise security practices, and other practices as needed. Required For This Opportunity: Active Top-Secret Clearance and a minimum of 7+ years of experience is required. (Interim Top Secret will not be accepter) Computer Science background w/ degree (Bachelor’s or Master's) in field. Must have strong User Interface (UI) design and developing skills using React, JavaScript, and CSS. Must have strong development experience required in the following technologies/areas: Java, Spring Framework/Security 6+, Spring Boot 3+, Hibernate 6+, SQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Maven build tool, and Git/GitLab. Must have experience with database design and data migration Additional experience required in the following technologies/areas: AWS (S3, EC2, ECS, Aurora, CloudWatch), Keycloak, Kubernetes, Maven, and Docker Experience with Agile and Scrum and Kanban frameworks/methodologies. Experience with Atlassian tools to include Jira and Confluence. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and automation.
