About the Role You'll be a core member of Airship's Internal Systems team, supporting and evolving the infrastructure that powers our internal operations. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of billing and collection specialists, setting clear performance goals and fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture Oversee the entire quote-to-cash process, ensuring the accurate and timely generation of invoices, application of payments, and management of customer accounts for all global regions Develop and implement strategic collections policies and procedures to optimize cash flow, minimize outstanding receivables, and proactively identify and manage high-risk accounts Provide critical insights into cash and accounts receivable to senior leadership, including the CFO and CEO, to support company-wide financial decision-making Monitor Accounts Receivable (A/R) aging reports, cash and DSO goals to provide insightful performance metrics and reporting to senior leadership, and contribute to executive-level discussions on financial health and strategy Serve as the primary point of contact for complex billing disputes and collections escalations, collaborating with internal teams like Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to ensure a positive customer experience Partner with our Finance Systems team to identify and drive process improvements, leveraging systems like Netsuite, Salesforce, and Adaptive to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance data integrity Ensure strong internal controls and maintain audit-ready documentation for all billing and collections activities Solid understanding of revenue accounting (ASC 606) principals and the ability to support month-end close processes Own the monthly closing and reporting process for A/R and Billing Organize and lead all audits related to A/R, including yearly audits and tax audits across all legal entities. Monitor and manage daily cash balances to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. Prepare and present regular cash management reports to senior management What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable and billing operations, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role Proven track record of successfully managing global A/R and billing functions within a fast paced B2B SaaS or technology environment Deep understanding of the quote-to-cash lifecycle, SaaS billing models, and subscription management Experience leading and managing remote or globally distributed teams, with the ability to drive alignment and standardization across different time zones Strong proficiency with ERP and CRM systems, specifically Netsuite and Salesforce Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive-level decisions Ability to balance a customer-first mindset with strong financial discipline Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets) Experience experimenting with AI tools in your personal or professional life - or an eagerness to learn!
