We replace broken parking machines, fragmented software, and manual, labor-intensive operations with a unified, data-rich operating system for parking real estate. We handle everything it takes to run and optimize a parking asset: payments, dynamic pricing, enforcement, license plate recognition, analytics, and more. By building all of our technology in-house, we are able to deliver a magical experience for drivers while providing real-time visibility and revenue increases of 20-50% or more for real estate owners. That’s why national real‑estate leaders like Hines and Greystar, as well as technology companies like Meta, partner with AirGarage to optimize their parking facilities. AirGarage uses datapoints like real-time occupancy, local events, weather, driver behavior, competitor pricing, and more to bring true intelligence to real estate owners’ assets for the first time. We’re investing aggressively to make the physical world legible to a digital system: cameras, sensors, and software that generate a firehose of real-time data about the world around us. That data fuels models and algorithms that allow us to optimize performance at each property while giving owners the clarity and control they’ve never had before. Before you can optimize an asset, you need to observe it. Before you can observe it, you need to bring it online. We are starting with the $131 billion US parking real estate market because it is one of the most offline and mismanaged commercial real estate asset types. 26% of the land area in the median American urban core is dedicated to parking. We are backed by top tier investors including Headline Growth, Andreessen Horowitz, Floodgate, Founders Fund, Abstract Ventures, and angel investors who have founded or worked at companies like Uber, Opendoor, Flexport, and more. In this role, you will be the owner of operational and financial performance across your region, directly responsible for ensuring our parking facilities run smoothly, look great, and maximize revenue potential. You will be both a builder and an operator, designing repeatable processes, managing third-party vendors, and developing pricing and enforcement strategies that directly impact AirGarage's bottom line. As the primary point of accountability for facility performance, you’ll balance boots-on-the-ground execution with analytical decision-making, moving seamlessly between site visits, vendor negotiations, and revenue optimization models. Your role will require you to be proactive in solving problems before they escalate, resourceful in managing competing priorities, and data-driven in shaping strategy. This is a highly cross-functional role. You’ll partner with Sales, Product, and Partner Success teams to ensure our real estate partners see strong results and our customers enjoy a seamless experience. You’ll also lead our enforcement fleet (Space Force) and work closely with regional leadership to ensure every facility is performing at its peak. Ultimately, you will be responsible for scaling operational excellence in your region: driving efficiency, profitability, and reliability while helping AirGarage expand our footprint and strengthen our reputation as the best operating partner for property owners. WHAT YOU WILL DO 👷♀️ Operational Execution Ensure our properties look great and run smoothly through managing partnerships with third party vendors for routine (and not routine) services like cleaning, maintenance, wifi-installation, and more. Own the physical appearance and day to day operations of all parking facilities in your region. Proactively identify & resolve issues impacting facility performance. Enforcement Optimization Manage the Space Force, our fleet of contract enforcers across your region. Refine incentives and run experiments to maximize efficiency of our enforcement program. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the regional GM to align pricing and channel strategies with overall regional P&L goals. Work with the Partner Success Manager to deliver a seamless experience for property owners and tenants. Provide clear feedback to Product & Engineering on tools and systems that impact facility operations. WHAT YOU NEED 👩🏼🎓 3–5+ years of experience in operations (ideally at another start up or company with a similar regional operations model (e.g. DoorDash, Uber, etc), banking, or consulting. Strong analytical skills: comfortable with SQL, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making. Process and systems driven: designs, documents, and enforces SOPs; builds repeatable playbooks; instruments workflows and iterates for quality and speed. Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to use data to inform strategy, identify trends, and optimize performance including user-level analysis and segmentation Willingness to travel across the region for site visits and vendor meetings (20%+ Travel). WHY THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE FOR YOU 🚨 We want to be transparent: this role is not a fit for everyone. Being a Regional Operations Manager at a fast-growing startup like AirGarage means you’ll face unique challenges that may not exist in later stage companies. You might want to pass if: You prefer a 9-to-5 rhythm. Our facilities run 24/7, and while we don’t expect constant availability, urgent issues sometimes arise outside of standard business hours. You want to stay behind a desk. This role requires regular travel and site visits, hanging out in parking garages, troubleshooting wifi boxes, or walking properties with vendors. You need highly defined processes from day one. We’re still building playbooks. You’ll often be the one creating the process for others to follow. You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity. At AirGarage, priorities can shift quickly as we scale. You’ll need to adapt, problem-solve, and move forward without perfect information. You’re looking for a large team of direct reports. This role is highly hands-on, leaning on third-party vendors and contractors, rather than managing a big staff. You prefer doing strategic work only. While strategy is part of the role, you’ll also be rolling up your sleeves on tactical execution daily. If that energizes you rather than scares you off, you’ll thrive here. The Installation Engineer will travel across the U.S. to install, test, and optimize license plate recognition systems and occupancy camera setups at parking facilities. This role involves conducting site surveys, pulling and terminating low-voltage wiring, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with engineering teams. | Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in security systems or low-voltage hardware installation and proficiency with power tools. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. | About AirGarage AirGarage is on a mission to bring real estate online, starting with parking. In this role, you'll travel across the country to install, test, and optimize the next generation of our license plate recognition (LPR) systems and occupancy camera setups at parking facilities nationwide. This isn’t just a wiring job, we need someone who understands why their work matters, can problem solve on the fly, and takes pride in making things not only functionally sound but also professionally executed. You’ll also work closely with our Hardware R&D teams to influence how our systems evolve to become more capable and easier and faster to install. The work you do will make a direct impact on the success of our facilities and help create a super smooth parking experience for our customers. As an early team member, the processes and standards you develop will help us continue to level up our effectiveness as we grow the organization. This role is ideal for a security technician, field systems installer, or hardware engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited to wear many hats as we build the future of automated parking. This role is not for someone who wants to wear one hat and stay in their comfort zone. There are many businesses that can provide that, AirGarage is not one of them. This position is for someone hungry to grow and learn new things, find creative ways to solve real problems, and actively contribute to building the business. WHAT YOU WILL DO Travel independently (sometimes in teams) to installation sites across the U.S. This is a 100% travel role. Install and configure license plate recognition systems, occupancy cameras, and related hardware Conduct site surveys to determine optimal device placement and wiring needs Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring (Ethernet, coax, power) and ensure secure, weather-resistant connections via conduit and other methods. Drill and mount devices on a variety of surfaces (e.g. concrete poles, building facades, parking structures) Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field (hardware, signal, power, alignment, etc.) Collaborate with engineering to suggest product improvements and document field feedback Maintain accurate job documentation and update installation records digitally from the field WHAT YOU NEED 3+ years of experience in security systems, LPR, CCTV, or low-voltage hardware installation (Licensing would be a big plus!) Proficiency with power tools and mounting techniques (impact driver, hammer drill, conduit benders, etc.) Experience installing hardware in outdoor and rugged environments (asphalt, poles, garages) Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism on-site Strong communication skills on and off site (verbal and written) Attention to detail and able to uphold high quality standards Critical thinking and advanced troubleshooting skills Desire to learn and build expertise in new technical domains Ability to use a cell phone and laptop to document progress and test installation Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be able to lift 70 lbs, bend down, climb a ladder and reach overhead THE UPSIDE 📈 📈 Equity: Have a stake in the business that you’re helping to build and grow. 🌴 Work remotely: Live and work wherever you like!
