Design, optimize, and manage enterprise automation solutions using Power Platform tools, with a focus on AI integration and process improvement. | Extensive experience (7+ years) in enterprise automation, deep knowledge of Power Automate and Logic Apps, and ability to work onsite in Redmond, WA four days a week. | *We are actively seeking candidates currently based in the Greater Seattle area, as this role requires being onsite in Redmond, WA four days per week. Only candidates meeting this location and onsite requirement will be considered.* Role Overview We’re hiring a Senior Power Platform Strategy & Automation Consultant for a temporary engagement expected to run through the end of June 2026, with the possibility of extension through June 2026. Please note that while an extension may occur, it is not guaranteed, and the role as it stands today is a temporary opportunity ideally starting as soon as possible and concluding at the end of June 2026. This role requires a consultative mindset — someone who can go beyond building workflows to understand the client’s broader business objectives, identify process improvement opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations that drive long-term automation maturity. You’ll design, optimize, and manage automation solutions at scale across a large Power Platform estate, leveraging Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and Azure Logic Apps to create intelligent, AI-enhanced workflows. As a Senior Power Platform Strategy & Automation Consultant for AG Consulting Partners, a typical day might include the following: Systems Design & Architecture: Use analytical thinking and a consultative approach to design end-to-end systems based on business processes. Investigate, document, and develop comprehensive designs for implementation using technologies listed in the “Required Capabilities” section. Flow Design & Authoring: Translate high-level requirements into functional cloud flows. Interpret natural language descriptions (e.g., “Notify the team when a data load fails and create a backlog item”) and build corresponding workflows with the correct triggers, actions, and logic in tools like Teams or ADO. Low-Code Function Writing: Develop or suggest low-code solutions using Power Fx formulas or small JavaScript snippets in custom connectors to enhance automation workflows. Parent-Child Flow Creation: Design modular, reusable workflows by creating parent-child flow structures. Break down large processes into sub-flows and manage orchestration between them. Guided Flow Editing: Serve as an AI-assisted partner within the flow editor, offering real-time suggestions for next steps or optimizations. This includes leveraging Power Automate Copilot to create and modify flows using natural language. Flow Monitoring & Enhancement: Track workflow performance and identify failures or inefficiencies (e.g., connector timeouts). Proactively implement improvements or automated fixes such as retry policies to ensure smooth and reliable flow operations. This job is for you if you: You are excited to work at the intersection of automation and AI, leveraging tools like Copilot Studio to create workflows faster and smarter. You are highly organized, managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with efficiency. You stay calm under pressure, tackling challenges with a solutions-focused mindset. You welcome feedback and continuous learning, always looking for ways to grow and improve. You take full ownership of your work, staying accountable for project success from start to finish. You drive projects forward with confidence, anticipating roadblocks and taking action to overcome them. You thrive in fast-paced environments, adapting quickly to changes while keeping priorities in focus. You have: 7+ years building and supporting enterprise automation solutions, with deep hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows/RPA) — this is the primary requirement. Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and quickly ramp on new subject matter without hand-holding Demonstrates a proactive mindset by identifying opportunities to go beyond core responsibilities and deliver additional value to the client Candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle area and available to work onsite in Redmond, WA four (4) days per week. Only local candidates who meet this onsite requirement will be considered for this engagement. Communication: When requirements are unclear or a manual review is needed, should escalate by notifying a client stakeholder (e.g., post a message in Teams or create an Azure DevOps item). Knowledge of Power Automate & Logic Apps frameworks: including connectors, triggers, actions, and common workflow patterns. Must be familiar with the organization’s standard connectors (SharePoint, email, databases, etc.). Experience advising clients on automation strategy, change enablement, and user adoption. Familiarity with AI Builder, Microsoft Graph, and Azure OpenAI integrations. Error Handling & Analytics: Ability to parse flow run logs, identify common failure reasons, and apply known remedies (e.g., reauthenticate a connection, adjust a condition). Proven ability to independently own and resolve complex flow issues and deliver durable fixes. Hands-on experience designing and editing workflows using Copilot Studio or similar AI-assisted authoring tools. Experience building workflows directly from natural language requirements using AI-powered automation tools. Ability to write and optimize Power Fx formulas and lightweight JavaScript to extend automation capabilities. You might also have: Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-100 / PL-200 / PL-400 / Power Platform App Maker or Developer certs). Experience integrating AI-powered Copilot APIs into enterprise workflows. Experience with Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven) and Dataverse design. Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, or other Azure integration services. Experience with source control / ALM for Power Platform (Solutions, solution-aware Git workflows) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions). Familiarity with creating self-healing automations, anomaly detection, and retry logic. Experience with monitoring stack (Application Insights, Log Analytics, Power Platform admin center analytics) and creating Power BI dashboards for telemetry. RPA / UI flow experience and familiarity with attended/unattended automation patterns. Prior consulting or vendor experience supporting multiple product teams.
