AffirmAnywhereFull-time
View Job
Compensation$169K - 219K a year

Leading healthcare data platform architecture, analytics, and cloud transformation. | Extensive experience in healthcare data systems, cloud platforms, and analytics, with strong leadership skills. | Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Our mission to deliver honest financial products that improve lives extends beyond borders. Affirm’s card portfolio is one of the company’s fastest-growing product areas, expanding rapidly across new product lines, geographies, and channels. This role sits at the center of that growth—building and scaling the platform capabilities that enable new launches, unlock faster settlement and funding models, and support increasingly complex card programs at scale. As a Senior Product Manager on the Card Platform team, you will own the strategy and execution for Affirm’s Money Movement and Ledgers across the full suite of the company’s card products. You will lead development of critical systems that power funding flows, settlement orchestration, liquidity management, and reconciliation across product-lines, processors, card networks, and issuing-bank partners. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Legal/Compliance, and Partnerships to deliver high-integrity platform solutions that enable Affirm’s products to scale and grow to new heights. This role requires strong product judgment, cross-functional leadership, and deep domain expertise in card issuing and payments infrastructure. The ideal candidate is outcomes-driven, action-oriented, and comfortable leading a high-growth product domain with complex cross-functional and external dependencies. What you’ll do Own and drive the product roadmap for card funding flows, settlement orchestration, ledger posting, and reconciliation, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform scalability. Design scalable reconciliation and exception-handling systems that ensure all settlements, disbursements, and funds movements are accurately posted, traceable, and reportable via card ledgers. Evolve Affirm funding and liquidity orchestration models across multiple capital sources (e.g., consumer balances, treasury accounts, credit facilities) to optimize capital efficiency and program resiliency. Define and launch new card programs from 0→1, including program account structures, funding mechanics, and reconciliation frameworks, to support expansion into new products, geographies, and channels, in close partnership with issuing banks and processors. Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Finance, Analytics, Legal/Compliance, and Operations to deliver reliable, compliant, and fully traceable money movement and ledger systems. Address unique funding challenges at the intersection of BNPL and card issuing through platform innovation that improves funding flows, accelerates settlement, and strengthens ledger resilience across card programs. Serve as a card-issuing domain expert and trusted partner, with deep understanding of processor, issuing-bank, and network interactions, card program economics, and how Affirm’s products operate within that ecosystem. Measure and improve platform health, defining success metrics such as settlement success rates, reconciliation coverage, exception volumes, and time-to-resolution; establish SLAs, runbooks, and observability for critical money-movement pipelines. Communicate clearly with senior leaders, presenting insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations that inform strategy and drive company objectives. What we look for 4+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex, cross-functional software platforms. Experience working in the card payments ecosystem at a fintech, issuing or acquiring bank, card processor, network, or payments infrastructure company. Hands-on experience with cardflows and how they interact with ledgers, cash accounts, and reconciliation processes. Strong understanding of the card issuing and acquiring lifecycle, including familiarity with card network message schemas and how transactions translate into issuer–acquirer message flows across the lifecycle. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and partner closely with Engineering, Finance, and external partners on funding strategy, accounting alignment, cash tracking, and reconciliation workflows. Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, synthesize incomplete inputs, and drive execution from concept through launch. Comfort working with technical systems (APIs, files, schemas) and translating complex financial flows into precise product requirements. Senior Product Manager, Financial Reporting

AffirmAnywhereFull-time
View Job
Compensation$169K - 219K a year

Own and develop the financial reporting and reconciliation product roadmap, working closely with engineering and finance teams to ensure compliance and automation. | Requires 4+ years in financial data products or platforms, practical accounting experience, and strong technical fluency in data models, SQL, and APIs. | Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Our mission to deliver honest financial products that improve lives extends globally. To support this mission, we are building out the backbone of our fintech systems to ensure they are scalable, compliant, and capable of supporting rapid product innovation. We’re looking for a strong product leader to drive this vision forward! We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the product roadmap for subledger and reporting infrastructure, the Accounting ↔ Engineering interface, and reconciliation and controls that enable month-end close and auditability. This role owns the end-to-end journey of financial data from engineering systems to the general ledger/ERP and partners closely with Accounting, data, and platform teams. What you’ll do Own the financial reporting product roadmap: subledgers, standardized accounting-event interface, journal-entry flows, GL/ERP integrations, and reconciliation tooling. Work with Engineering to define subledger patterns and the Accounting ↔ Engineering interface: accounting-event schemas, API contracts, domain boundaries, and migration strategies for operational systems to adopt the standard. Translate accounting policy and audit requirements into product specs, posting logic, SOX controls, and implementable engineering requirements. Lead matching/reconciliation strategy and automation: run vendor evaluations, define recon rules and ownership, and deliver reconciliation automation for high-volume, critical accounts. Own data lineage, quality metrics, SLAs, monitoring, and remediation flows for critical reports and journal feeds. Run product discovery, prioritization, and cross-functional programs: scope pilots, set success metrics, manage tradeoffs, and deliver production systems with Engineering, Accounting, and Finance. Drive governance and change management: coordinate Accounting, Finance, Product and Engineering; own go-to-production signoffs, runbooks, and stakeholder training. What we’re looking for 4+ years product management experience owning financial platforms or data products — responsible for roadmap, APIs, data models, and cross-functional delivery. Practical accounting experience required: hands-on accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, and external audits. CPA preferred. Practical domain expertise is more important than the credential alone. Proven track record of building and working knowledge of financial systems, subledger → GL flows, journal-entry design, reconciliations, SOX controls, and external audit processes. Strong technical fluency — data models, ETL/DBT, SQL, and API design — and the ability to partner tightly with engineering and data teams on lineage and transformations. Exceptional communicator and cross-functional influencer: translates accounting requirements into technical specs, drives consensus across Finance & Engineering, and presents tradeoffs to senior leaders. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or other related fields; or equivalent practical experience.
