About the Role Aerospike is building the core systems that fuel our growth engine, telemetry ingestion, licensing enforcement, entitlement APIs, and usage-based monetization. As Senior Principal Engineer, you’ll set the architectural vision for these platforms, breaking down highly ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable designs. You’ll bring a track record of solving high-risk, high-impact problems and will shape how Aerospike enables product-led growth across self-managed and cloud deployments. Responsibilities Lead the design and architecture of Aerospike’s telemetry and licensing systems, ensuring global scale, reliability, and security. Break down complex, ambiguous technical challenges into actionable strategies that align system design with company growth goals. Define long-term architecture for entitlement services, usage metering, high-watermark billing, and event models. Partner with Product, RevOps, and Finance to integrate telemetry and licensing into monetization and adoption workflows. Mentor and guide engineers across teams, building alignment on system design and execution. Anticipate technical risks in hybrid SaaS + self-managed deployments and define mitigation strategies. Drive adoption of observability-first practices across telemetry pipelines and licensing services. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, providing senior-level technical leadership during critical incidents. Represent Aerospike externally as a thought leader in telemetry, licensing, and distributed systems. Qualifications 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in high-scale, high-performance service-oriented systems. Proven success designing and delivering large-scale telemetry, ingestion, or licensing platforms in production. Strong experience across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, containers, microservices). Hands-on depth in languages such as Java, Python, Go, or similar, with comfort across multiple stacks. Track record of modernizing complex systems and driving initiatives spanning dozens of engineers and global teams. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to clarify complexity and influence at all levels. Preferred: Experience with observability and incident response tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty). You’ll build the backend services and developer-facing SDKs that power Aerospike’s growth platform — from telemetry ingestion and licensing enforcement to entitlement APIs and developer tooling. This role sits at the heart of Aerospike’s infrastructure, ensuring that product usage, licensing, and adoption signals flow reliably across self-managed and cloud deployments. Responsibilities Build scalable telemetry ingestion pipelines (API-first, Pub/Sub/Kafka optional, warehouse targets like BigQuery or Snowflake). Design and maintain licensing services for usage metering, entitlement APIs, high-watermark billing logic, and token/UUID validation. Develop and maintain developer-facing SDKs (Go, Java, Python, Node) and CLI tools for telemetry, feature flags, and license validation. Define schemas, thresholds, and event models aligned with licensing enforcement and adoption signals. Collaborate with PMs, RevOps, and CS on system health metrics, billing workflows, and customer-facing usage reporting. Ensure SDKs integrate with CDPs (Segment, RudderStack, Posthog) and internal telemetry pipelines (BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt). Maintain schema compatibility and versioning across services and SDKs. Support production services in a 24x7 on-call rotation, driving reliability and incident response. Build with scalability, maintainability, reliability, and security as core principles. Qualifications 4+ years of backend or SDK engineering experience (Go preferred; Java/Python also fine). Strong background in distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, or observability services. Experience building developer-facing SDKs, CLIs, or platform APIs. Familiarity with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL/CDC patterns. Experience supporting production systems in a high-availability environment. Preferred: Familiarity with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty. Senior Support Engineer Location: Remote, USA We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Support Engineer to join our Global Customer Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and resolving complex customer issues with the Aerospike Real-time Data Platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, technical writers, and client services to deliver exceptional support and help customers achieve success with Aerospike at scale. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for Aerospike customers across diverse environments (cloud, hybrid, on-prem). Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering to drive resolution of complex problems and contribute to product improvement. Participate in real-time customer remediation efforts and live incident resolution. Act as a customer advocate to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution. Support enterprise customers with mission-critical systems and real-time data use cases. Assist with new deployments, configuration guidance, and performance tuning. Write and maintain high-quality documentation and Knowledge Base articles to scale support capabilities. Contribute to a collaborative, agile, and globally distributed support team.
