The PCB Designer/Engineer II will perform design services related to Printed Circuit Board Design/Layout. They will develop engineering concepts that meet customer requirements and produce comprehensive project documentation. | A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required, with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently are essential. | Description SUMMARY The PCB Designer/Engineer II will be required to perform design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization support services as related to Printed Circuit Board Design/Layout. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Develops engineering/product concepts that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements while establishing an area of technical specialty and mentoring others on the team (in-discipline). · Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis, and design verification. · Demonstrates skill in multiple phases of the full product realization process, as it applies to their role. · Demonstrates the ability to work independently within at least one phase for the Product Realization Process, without direction from mentors or functional management. · Produces comprehensive project documentation in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines. Industry equivalent experience in excess of minimum qualifications would suffice to offset education requirements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level. Working from a home office is permitted. Manage and optimize Drill, Route, and Lamination processes, lead quality and productivity initiatives, train employees, and collaborate across departments to ensure manufacturing excellence. | Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, prior process engineering experience in manufacturing, proficiency with technical problem-solving and audits, effective communication skills, and availability for occasional travel and after-hours support. | Description: Process Engineer – Drill, Route, and Lamination Scope: We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Process Engineer to manage and optimize the Drill, Route, and Lamination departments. This position requires a "Whatever it Takes" mentality, and it involves working closely with Supervisors to drive efficiency, quality improvements, and process excellence. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Director of Operations, this role supports the core engineering and production processes and ensures consistent operational improvement. Responsibilities: Oversee engineering processes in the Drill, Route, and Lamination areas, providing recommendations, modifications, and support to enhance efficiency. Assist Supervisors in training employees on procedures and processes; act as a technical mentor. Lead quality initiatives, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve quality issues in partnership with Supervisors. Spearhead initiatives focused on productivity, safety, waste reduction, and cost control within assigned areas. Conduct operator and process audits to identify and correct procedural deviations, ensuring high attention to detail. Partners with Vendors and communicate with Maintenance, Production, and Lab/WWT teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements. Become proficient in department equipment operation and processes, acting as the technical expert for any operational challenges. Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedural improvements and ensure knowledge transfer within the team. Be accessible outside of standard hours for critical process issues; your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and decision-making. Collaborate with CAM, customers, and other engineers to convey process capabilities and limitations effectively. Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager and Director of Operations, supporting overall manufacturing excellence. Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related Science or Engineering field, or a strong equivalent in relevant experience. Prior experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, especially in drilling, routing, and lamination processes, is required. Proficiency in relevant computer applications and an aptitude for technical problem-solving. Effective communicators are able to interact with multiple departments, including Maintenance, Vendors, Production, and CAM. Ability to conduct detailed audits and analyses to uphold process quality and consistency. Willing to travel occasionally to sister facilities for training or support purposes. Available for consultation and troubleshooting support outside of regular working hours as required.
