QUALIFICATIONS • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker). • Experience working with unstructured data (e.g., text, customer feedback, open-ended survey responses) is an asset. • Understanding of marketplaces such as Databricks • Excellent communication and synthesis skills — able to translate data into meaningful business insights. • Interest in SaaS, DaaS, and digital product strategy. • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. This internship provides hands-on experience in data operations, scripting, monitoring, and process automation within a professional IT environment. Working under the guidance of experienced Data Operations Engineers, the intern will assist in developing scripts, monitoring data workflows, and supporting the maintenance of key data systems that power AccuWeather’s digital platforms and services. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate seeking to build foundational experience in data operations, automation, and systems operations while contributing to meaningful projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in developing and maintaining basic automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to support data collection and system monitoring. Support the maintenance and documentation of data pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable operation. QUALIFICATIONS Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Foundational knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Basic understanding of data processing or database management concepts (SQL familiarity preferred). Lead and manage a creative team to develop and execute visual storytelling across broadcast, digital, and social platforms including AR/VR graphics and weather visualizations. | 7+ years in design leadership with expertise in motion graphics, AR/VR, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D animation, weather visualization, and team management. | POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Creative Director to oversee the development, execution, and evolution of our visual storytelling across all platforms-including virtual reality (VR) sets, augmented reality (AR) graphics, weather explainers, weather map design systems, data-driven info graphics, and all broadcast, digital, and social creative content. This leadership role requires both strategic vision and hands-on design expertise to push innovation while ensuring brand consistency. You will manage and mentor a talented team of graphic and motion designers, collaborating across departments to bring high-impact storytelling to life for our audiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of all visual content across network, digital, and social platforms • Oversee the creation of AR/VR graphics and immersive set experiences, aligning with editorial and content strategies • Guide the design and implementation of weather maps, motion graphics, explainers, and data visualizations • Develop and maintain creative standards and design systems that ensure visual consistency across platforms • Collaborate closely with the Broadcast, Digital, Product, Marketing, and PR teams to ensure alignment with brand and content objectives • Provide art direction, feedback, and mentorship to a team of graphic and motion designers • Ensure creative outputs are optimized for broadcast, streaming, mobile, and social media formats • Manage timelines, priorities, and creative workflows in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Evaluate new tools, technologies, and creative trends to help future-proof our visual strategy • Oversee execution of graphics packages for tentpole segments (e.g., Superior Accuracy, The Forecast Feed, VR explainers, etc.) • Other duties as assigned.
