ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for the operational financial performance of the area. • Develop and implement cost control measures and service standards to ensure compliance with contract requirements. • Effectively apply and support consistent use of policies, procedures, programs, and systems. • Responsible for the financial delivery of operational budgets, forecasts, reports, cash management. • To ensure business goals are met, analyze operational reports, focus on key metrics, and use data to drive informed decisions and improvement. • Oversee safety, inspections, quality control measures, and inventory control of equipment and supplies for the area. • Effectively direct work assignments, evaluating employee performance, conduct problem resolution, and disciplining employees ensuring discipline and termination practices are fair and consistent. • Assist with implementation of operational improvements to increase margin growth. • Assist in driving area sales by operationally supporting sales efforts with the sales team and estimators. • Collaborate with Area Operations Support Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes for a better client experience through timely and clear communication. • Develop, evaluate, and analyze key operational performance metrics based on company goals and expectations. • Provide support for special projects as assigned by Area General Manager. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS The Area Operations Manager should possess the following skills, characteristics, and abilities: • Excellent customer service and sales skills. • Five (5) years HVAC management related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. • Exhibit in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems. • Ability to work across multiple business units and support other divisions of the company. • Excellent leadership skills to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong conflict management skills. • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments. • Good computer skills with proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation. • Possess a strong personal desire for improvement and the desire to motivate employees to do the same. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and background. • Ability and willingness to work a non-standard schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required. • May require up to 50% travel.
