The Senior Manager, SMB Sales is a second-line sales leader responsible for driving strategy, execution, and performance across the SMB (Small and Medium-sized Business) segment in North America. This role leads a team of Sales Managers who in turn lead teams of Account Executives to deliver exceptional revenue growth, operational rigor, and a high-performance culture. Aligned to either the East or West SMB territory, the Senior Manager sets strategic direction, coaches and develops people leaders, ensures predictable execution, and strengthens cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Sales Development, Enablement, RevOps, and Customer Success. Expectations of this role While currently designated as a remote role, this role will eventually be designated as an in-office role based out of Austin. You will be expected to work from 1Password’s Austin location on a full-time basis (3-5 days/week). What We’re Looking For 8+ years of SaaS (Software As a Service) sales leadership experience, including 2+ years managing people leaders (second-line leadership); cybersecurity experience preferred. Proven ability to drive revenue growth and scale high-performing SMB or Commercial sales teams. Demonstrated success setting strategy and translating it into measurable, repeatable execution. Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner across the organization. Deep understanding of SMB sales motions, including inbound, outbound, and partner-led approaches. Proficiency with Salesforce, Looker, Outreach, Sales Navigator, and other sales productivity tools. Analytical, data-driven decision-maker skilled at diagnosing performance trends and improving forecast accuracy and pipeline health. Experience coaching and developing managers, with a focus on talent growth and succession planning. Bonus: Familiarity with 1Password or similar security and productivity tools. What You’ll Do Define and drive the SMB Sales strategy for the assigned territory, setting clear annual and quarterly expectations for Sales Managers and their teams. Lead, develop, and mentor Sales Managers to strengthen leadership capability, performance management, and team health. Build and maintain a predictable, data-driven SMB sales motion with disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and consistent execution. Implement scalable processes, operational cadences, and inspection frameworks to ensure rigor across the sales organization. USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $121,000 USD and $163,000 USD, and is commission-eligible. You will play a key role in building out the data analytics roadmap for Strategic Finance and act as a trusted business partner with cross-functional teams like Marketing, Sales / GTM and Product.
