Role Overview: As an Underwriting Account Service Associate on the Middle Markets team, you will play a crucial role in supporting experienced Underwriters by assisting in the review and analysis of risks. What You'll Do: - You will assist Underwriters in evaluating and analyzing insurance risks to ensure accurate underwriting decisions. - You will support the preparation and processing of insurance policies and related documentation. - You will communicate effectively with clients, brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth underwriting processes. - You will maintain and update underwriting files and databases with precise and timely information. - You will help identify potential risk exposures and recommend appropriate risk management solutions. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development and client retention efforts. - You will participate in training and development activities to enhance your underwriting knowledge and skills. What You Bring: - You have 1-3 years of experience in insurance underwriting or a related field. - You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk factors accurately. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members. - You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with underwriting software. - You demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in Middle Markets insurance underwriting. - Knowledge of commercial insurance products and industry regulations. - Relevant insurance certifications such as CPCU or ARM. - Experience with data analysis tools or underwriting automation platforms.
