Role Overview: As a member of the Crop Underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the underwriting process for crop insurance accounts. This position involves detailed account service work, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in underwriting operations to help manage risk and support client satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will assist in the preparation and review of crop insurance underwriting accounts. - You will coordinate with underwriters and clients to gather necessary information and documentation. - You will analyze data to support underwriting decisions and risk assessments. - You will maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. - You will communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to resolve issues and provide updates. - You will support process improvements to enhance underwriting efficiency and accuracy. - You will participate in training and development activities to stay current with industry trends and company practices. What You Bring: - 1-3 years of experience in insurance underwriting or account service, preferably in crop insurance. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Knowledge of insurance policies, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) or similar underwriting software. - Background in agriculture or crop insurance. - Certification in insurance or underwriting (e.g., CPCU, AINS). - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
