In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the Zscaler production data center services, including servers, operating systems, storage, and supporting systems, while being an integral part of the SRE team responsible for ensuring the cloud's availability, latency, performance, efficiency, monitoring, and emergency response. The SRE team plays a critical role in maintaining peak performance as the Zscaler cloud processes tens of billions of transactions daily, scanning a petabyte of data for users worldwide. Despite rapidly increasing transaction volumes each quarter, the cloud’s stability continues to improve, thanks to the team's expertise and commitment to reliability, availability, and scalability—a dedication you will need to share, along with a sense of humor. We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our site reliability team. This is a US-based remote role. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Site Reliability Engineering you'll be responsible for: Networking, firewalls, load balancing solutions, etc Working closely with Software Engineering, Development, and Infrastructure teams to understand, implement, and deploy end-to-end monitoring solutions Deploying patches and upgrades, and update administrative tools and utilities as required Monitoring applications and services within the environments, participate in on-call rotations, take action to resolve issues, and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communicating action taken What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 2+ years of experience in 24/7 SRE/NOC operations, production cloud platforms, and related automation workflows - - US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED Strong technical foundation, including proficiency in Linux/UNIX, familiarity with programming languages like Python and Go, and scripting with Bash Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP, the OSI Model, subnetting, and load balancing Adaptable to fast-paced environments with the flexibility to support after-hours and weekend deployments or releases Passion for improving processes, optimizing workflows, and solving technical challenges to maintain high SLA cloud platform resilience #LI-JM1 #LI-Remote Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
