5+ years construction management experience with hands-on knowledge of multiple trades including plumbing and electrical, proficiency in construction software, and strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction project management, with proficiency in construction management software. You’ll play a key role in supporting the owner, ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget. Hands-on experience and extensive knowledge of means and methods across different trades — including plumbing and electrical — is essential. Responsibilities • Assist the owner with scheduling, budgeting, and daily project oversight • Maintain project documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders • Use construction software such as Contractor Foreman, CompanyCam, Excel, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Primavera P6 for project tracking and estimation • Coordinate with field staff and subcontractors • Conduct site visits to gather project information • Review contracts and specifications for compliance with standards • Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding scope and costs • Monitor project budgets to ensure financial accuracy • Help manage punch lists and project closeouts Qualifications / Experience • 5+ years construction management or related experience • Strong hands-on construction skills; extensive knowledge of means and methods across multiple trades, including plumbing and electrical • Proficiency with construction software (Contractor Foreman, CompanyCam, Excel, HeavyBid, or similar) • Strong understanding of project scheduling using Primavera or equivalent • Excellent blueprint reading and schematic interpretation skills • Prior construction site experience preferred • Strong time management and organizational skills References Please provide 3 professional references from your last three employers, including their name, title, contact info, and your working relationship.
