National Bank of Arizona is looking for a Project Manager Coordinator to join Arizona’s #1 Community Bank. The successful candidate will work with our Technology & Communications Team and have a working knowledge of banking and project management. We are looking for a natural leader that can identify the “bigger picture” and a provide a positive influence on the team. This position coordinates, participates in, and directs the resources of special projects to achieve the successful execution of projects as assigned by manager. Responsibility may be limited to specific business units, systems, applications, products or services. Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Essential Functions: Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. This position may also represent the bank on application software conversions and application software updates as they relate to a specified business unit or function and provide ongoing support to include coordination of required updates and changes, and problem-solving. May act as project coordinator during conversions and updates. Responsible for tracking costs, key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication with all areas that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed. Designs, implements, evaluates and audits project management processes and templates. May work closely with internal departments and outside vendors to ensure project completion. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required; a four-year college degree is preferred. A minimum five years’ experience in banking or three years of operations management related experience and one year in project management are required. Proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Visio is preferred - Knowledge of Core Banking Systems and Sharepoint a plus. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations, and write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals needed. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group managers, clients, customers and the general public. Basic math skills, as well as the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages, and basic accounting concepts all required. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and problem-solving skills required. This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $60,000 - $80,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
