The Strategic Account Coordinator supports the Strategic Account Manager in day-to-day sales and contract administration operations, managing back office activities and overseeing contract management. They act as a centralized point of contact for customers regarding rate agreements and contracts, while also handling basic customer inquiries.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial position, preferably in sales, marketing, or procurement. An academic background in economics, business management, or logistics is advantageous, along with proficiency in MS Office and bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
Description Main Purpose of the Role: Support Strategic Account Manager (SAM) efficiently and effectively in day-to-day Sales and Contract Admin operations, manage back office related activities, oversee contract management and rate filing process between BU/SA/Country as a centralized focal point, act as internal point of contact for customers as it relates to rate agreements and contracts, handle basic customer inquiries; Assist SAM in account management pertaining to centralized contract management and follow up. Major Areas of Responsibility: Help to maintain customers’ relationships through prompt service and management of contract agreements and basic customer inquiries. Assist in consolidating all SA rate agreements for the LTAM region under a centralized model as the key focal point. Coordinate with and between BU/Trade, Zim Agencies, CCA region and Country Sales teams to streamline filing of rate negotiations with SA customers and promote Zim’s speed to market. Support the SAM in the distribution of market relevant customer advisories and ensure contracts are updated accordingly. Main Tasks: Consolidating all SA rate agreements for the LTAM region under a centralized model as the key focal point. Centrally manage SA customer contract agreements and basic customer inquiries within LTAM region. Coordinate with and between BU/Trade, Zim Agencies, CCA region and Country Sales teams to streamline filing of rate negotiations with SA customers Through the centralized contract management, assist to promote Zim’s speed to market with rate updates, quarterly FAK, NAC filings, etc. Input/update contracts and agreements with GAC and communicate to all stakeholders – SA, Region, Country, Agent, etc. Update, maintain and ensure accuracy of customers’ information in CRM and other IT systems Assist in communicating customer advisories and quarterly rate updates Provide customers with administrative information on their account if requested Handle basic email inquiries with customer and/or other departments within ZIM Inform customers on changes of different topic such as: rates, schedule, new shipping methods, etc. Requirements • Academic education o Economics/ Business Management/ Marketing/ Logistics/ International Negotiation - Advantage • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial position (Sales, marketing, procurement) o Working experience in a local FFW / global company / shipping industry - Advantage • Proficient in MS Office, Excel in particular, and comfortable working within systems/platforms (ie. L2A, Fams, etc) • Excellent control of country’s local language o Bilingual English and Spanish would be highly preferred
