Role Overview: As a Senior Manager, Public Policy at Zillow, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the company's public policy initiatives. You will work closely with government officials, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to anticipate policy challenges and unlock opportunities for innovation that support Zillow's mission. What You'll Do: - You will develop and implement strategic public policy initiatives that align with Zillow's business goals. - You will monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting the real estate industry. - You will build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry groups, and community organizations. - You will lead advocacy efforts to influence policy decisions that impact Zillow and its customers. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate policy insights into business strategies. - You will prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and policy briefs to internal and external audiences. - You will manage a team of public policy professionals, providing guidance and mentorship. - You will represent Zillow at industry events, public forums, and government hearings. What You Bring: - You have at least 7 years of experience in public policy, government relations, or a related field. - You possess deep knowledge of real estate policy, housing markets, and regulatory environments. - You have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legislation. - You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - You have proven leadership experience managing teams and projects. - You hold a bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, law, or a related discipline. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the real estate or technology sectors. - Advanced degree such as a JD or Master's in Public Policy. - Established network of contacts within government and industry. - Experience with grassroots advocacy and coalition building.
