Role Description The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Key tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and adjusting machine settings as needed. The role requires ensuring quality and precision in all machined parts, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Leavenworth, KS. Qualifications • Experience with CNC machining, including setting up and operating lathes, mills, multi-axis mills. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs • Skilled in precision measurement and inspection, including the use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges • Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for machine tools • Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques and procedures • Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment • Prior experience with ERP software such as Global Shop Solutions. • Technical training or certification in machining is preferred but not required
