Design, implement, and maintain compensation programs to support business strategy and ensure market competitiveness. Evaluate existing compensation programs and conduct market pricing analysis to inform pay decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business with 6-8 years of progressive compensation experience required. At least three years of Workday HCM configuration experience and in-depth knowledge of wage and hour laws are essential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain compensation programs, policies, and practices to support business strategy, ensure market competitiveness and retain top talent. Evaluate and monitor existing compensation programs, recommend improvements that align with organizational goals and market trends. Conduct job evaluations and market pricing using industry surveys and benchmarking tools. Conduct market pricing analysis and manage salary structures to ensure alignment with market and internal equity. Participate in compensation surveys and analyze results to inform pay decisions and maintain competitive positioning. Review and approve compensation actions including offers, promotions, equity adjustments, and reclassifications. Act as a compensation subject matter expired and resource to HR Business Partners and leadership teams to ensure accurate job documentation and appropriate FLSA classification. Support the preparation of materials and analysis for union negotiations, board meetings etc. Participate in compensation surveys and analyze results to inform pay decisions and maintain competitive positioning. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hours laws, including FLSA classification and pay transparency requirements. Develop and distribute compensation tools, training materials, and documentation; provide training and consultation on compensation best practices. Lead or support special compensation projects such as total rewards strategy reviews, incentive plan redesign including variable comp and executive comp. Maintain compensation configurations in Workday and other HRIS tools; ensure data accuracy and integrity. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business, or a related field. Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive compensation in a corporate environment. At least three (3) years of Workday HCM configuration experience, with subject matter expertise in core and advances compensation modules. In-depth knowledge of federal, state and local wage and hours laws and compensation-related compliance requirements. Experience with compensation surveys and job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Pay Factors). Proven time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with leadership and cross-functional teams. High degree of professionalism, integrity, and customer-focused mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and other relevant technology platforms. Preferred Qualifications Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) credentials such as PHR/SPHR. Coursework or certification in data analytics, HRIS, or finance is a plus.
