Position Overview We’re seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer for a 6-month contact engagement to help build the core user experiences across web and mobile that power Youtopia’s precision nourishment automation platform. You’ll work with Angular 21, Signals, Signal Forms, and our Ionic mobile stack to build high-performance, highly polished interfaces. You will partner closely with design, product, and backend teams to bring complex health, nutrition, and AI-powered workflows into clean, intuitive, consumer-grade experiences. What You Will Own Front-End Architecture & Development Build modern, high-performance UIs using Angular 21 and the latest ecosystem features Utilize Signals and Signal Forms to architect reactive, predictable, scalable state and form systems Implement reusable, accessible, mobile-first UI components and design system patterns Integrate with backend APIs, real-time events, and personalized health data flows Ensure the front-end experience is fast, smooth, and reliable across devices and network conditions Mobile Application Engineering Build and enhance mobile applications using Ionic + Angular Optimize mobile performance, offline functionality, and native-like interactions Ship production-ready mobile features for iOS/Android User Experience Craftsmanship Bring complex health and nutrition concepts to life in simple, elegant product flows Collaborate with product and design teams to create frictionless experiences Contribute to our design system, component library, and UI/UX standards Performance, Quality & Reliability Implement cutting-edge performance optimization techniques (signals, zoneless patterns, hydration strategies, etc.) Write maintainable, well-tested, stable code for both web and mobile experiences Ensure accessibility, security, and compliance in UI interactions involving health data Engineering Leadership & Collaboration Work closely with Back-End, Data, Platform, and Product teams Participate in architecture discussions and advocate for FE best practices Bring autonomy, ownership, and craftsmanship to a high-velocity startup environment Who You Are You’re a senior-level front-end engineer who: Loves Angular and knows how to wield its most modern capabilities Builds elegant UI/UX with an engineer’s discipline and a designer’s eye Thrives in greenfield, mission-driven environments Gets energy from autonomy and delivering high-impact features quickly Wants to build consumer-grade products that significantly enhances lives Comfortable solving complex problems in ambiguous, fast-paced environments Cares deeply about performance, reliability, and craftsmanship Qualifications Required 7+ years professional experience in front-end engineering Expert-level experience with Angular (17+)—Angular 21 strongly preferred Strong experience with Signals, Signal Forms, and modern reactive patterns Deep experience building and shipping Ionic + Angular mobile applications Strong understanding of state management, component architecture, and modular UI design Strong knowledge of TypeScript, RxJS, and modern ES standards Strong grasp of UI performance tuning and Core Web Vitals Experience integrating with complex APIs and distributed backend systems Ability to thrive in high-autonomy, high-speed startup environments Bonus / “Superpower” Skills Experience with healthcare, wellness, or data-driven personalization Experience designing or contributing to a design system Experience with real-time systems, websockets, or event-driven UI Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA/HITRUST) from a UX or FE perspective Experience with high-scale consumer apps or mobile-first global platforms If you meet most—but not all—of the qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
