Job Summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and patient-centered Medical Assistant/ Receptionist to support our new clinic. Responsibilities • Welcome, room, and prepare patients for their visits • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels. • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. • Support clinical procedures including medication administration, basic wound care, and specimen collection. • Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and treatment plans. • Conduct basic diagnostic tasks such as DEXA imaging when trained. • Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment. • Support administrative duties including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and insurance documentation to streamline clinic operations. Skills • Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or outpatient setting • Phlebotomy experience • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus • Strong knowledge of medical terminology. • Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation. • Ability to perform intake assessments and measure vital signs precisely. • Experience with medication administration protocols within outpatient settings. • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations. • Basic life support (BLS) certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
