Company Description Yolo Basin Foundation is dedicated to expanding public appreciation and stewardship of wetlands and wildlife in the Yolo Basin through education and innovative partnerships. The primary goal is to facilitate environmental education about the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area, with the Discover the Flyway program being its largest initiative for K-12 schools. Other programs and activities include educational kits, festivals, public tours, lecture series, field trips, and conservation activities related to the San Francisco Bay Delta. The foundation plays a crucial role in fostering knowledge and conservation efforts in the community. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Director located in Davis, CA. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the Yolo Basin Foundation. This includes overseeing programs, developing and implementing strategic plans, fundraising, community outreach, and working closely with staff, volunteers, and partners. The Executive Director will also be responsible for managing the organization’s finances and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Qualifications • Leadership and management skills, including experience in overseeing programs and strategic planning • Fundraising and community outreach experience, with proven success in developing partnerships and securing funding • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with a diverse group of stakeholders • Knowledge and experience in nonprofit leadership, environmental education and conservation is highly desirable • Financial management skills, including budgeting and ensuring regulatory compliance • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred • Ability to work on-site in Davis, CA
