Full Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Billing & Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position supports the work of the YMCA of Madison County, a nonprofit committed to strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Billing & Administrative Assistant is responsible for accurate data entry and billing for Early Learning Childcare and Before/After School programming. This role ensures timely processing of billing information, maintains detailed records, assists families with billing questions, and provides general administrative support to the Director as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment. Wages & Benefits: • Pay Range: $10.30–$13.00 hour • Part-time position, approximately 24 hours/week • Flexible hours — ideal for school-day schedules • Free YMCA National Membership • Part-time employees may upgrade to the family membership by paying the difference between the individual and family membership rates • CPR/First Aid certifications as necessary will be provided Essential Functions: • Enter billing data accurately and on time • Process billing and track payments. • Maintain program billing records. • Assist families with billing questions. • Use Microsoft Office and billing software. • Support the director with administrative tasks. • Demonstrate professionalism and customer service. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Ability to learn billing systems. • Detail-oriented and organized. • Strong communication skills. • Must represent YMCA values • Must pass criminal background check Work Environment & Physical Demands • Onsite at Pendleton Early Learning Childcare Center. • Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods. • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. • Moderate noise level environment.
