Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. YLD is a consultancy focused on empowering clients by building capabilities rather than just code. They are seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer to take ownership of key initiatives for a client's streaming and media handling platforms, contributing to scalable backend services and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities • Building and refining scalable backend systems using Python • Designing infrastructure on AWS and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines • Writing clean, tested code that supports millions of users worldwide • Collaborating closely with a global, diverse team of engineers • Advocating for best practices, continuous improvement, and thoughtful architecture • Showcasing your work in regular demos, and giving and receiving feedback Skills • Strong Python experience and have built backend services using Django • Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation • Understand how to ship code with confidence—through CI/CD, testing, and monitoring • Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable system design • Know your way around relational and schema-less databases • Bring a collaborative spirit and love helping others grow • Dabbled in Go or Node.js • Experience with GraphQL and gRPC Benefits • A genuinely remote-first culture with flexible hours and work-life balance • The chance to work with a supportive, ethical, and inspiring team • An opportunity to leave your mark on meaningful, high-impact projects • A place where your voice is heard—and your ideas shape the product Company Overview • YLD helps enterprises win by delivering mission critical software built by the best web engineers in Europe It was founded in 2013, and is headquartered in London, England, GBR, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
