Xylem is hiring a Regional Sales Director-Central Region to support our legacy Evoqua light industry sales team. Evoqua's Light Industry Sales (LIT) team provides a complete line of pretreatment, generation, storage, and distribution solutions for high purity and wastewater applications in aerospace, beverage, government, health sciences, microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, universities, labs, and general industry. The Sales Director leads the full regional sales organization-including Inside and Outside Sales Representatives, Sales Managers, and Sales Process functions. This strategic role is responsible for achieving regional revenue and booking targets while driving execution of the commercial strategy. The Sales Director translates high-level sales strategies into actionable plans, aligning business processes and coaching the team to achieve both individual and collective goals. This role requires a strong leader with a proven ability to manage sales operations, optimize performance, and foster a culture of accountability and success. Key responsibilities include setting and executing the commercial strategy, guiding sales process improvements, and ensuring that all sales activities contribute to sustained business growth. The Sales Director should live Xylem's High Impact Culture. Responsibilities: • Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops team of Sales Professionals • Delivers on revenue/customer growth targets • Aligns objectives of team with Organizational Goals and Objectives; objectives for assigned unit/area defined by upper management • Exemplifies Xylem's high impact behaviors and leverages those to foster a high performing team • Manages other managers to deliver the same results • Works with upper and Executive Management to set Goals/Objectives/Targets for the region and key business accounts; works with their direct reports to align Goals/Objectives/Targets for sales organization • Other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: BS/BA required 10+ years of sales experience Preferred: Masters preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: • Strong communication skills • Intra-departmental communication for purpose of alignment/information sharing • Strong knowledge of Sales Process • Ability/latitude to make decisions to achieve defined goals • Must have an acceptable driving record to be insurable to drive for company business • Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis. Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis. Must be able to climb and descend stairs. Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt. Work surfaces may include concrete. Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
