We are seeking an experienced IS Epic SER (Schedulable Epic Resources) User & Provisioning Manager, to join our team of 500 and support our exciting journey. Job Summary The IS Epic SER (Schedulable Epic Resources) User & Provisioning Manager is responsible for the effective operation of the Epic Security team as a customer-focused, service- oriented team providing the highest quality services to Xtensys. This individual plans, organizes, assigns, schedules, and controls workflow for the team, while being accountable for the successful completion of all projects assigned to the work group. The IS Epic SER (Schedulable Epic Resources) User & Provisioning Manager is a forward-looking technology leader responsible for participation in the development of 1–3-year road maps in partnership with IT areas. The Manager assists with the development of departmental policies and procedures and is responsible for promoting an environment of compliance and operational efficiency. In this role, you will plan for new systems, platforms, and applications, using only broad guidelines and requiring a high degree of independence, decision-making, and coordination. This individual functions as an expert resource in advanced systems analysis and design for business partners, staff, and users to assist in complex problem troubleshooting and resolution. The IS Epic SER (Schedulable Epic Resources) User & Provisioning Manager may lead or coordinate both Security and cross-functional projects. Key Responsibilities • On-Call rotation • This is a full-time role with standard business hours and availability during Epic releases or go-lives. • Oversee the day-to-day operations of SER and U&P team related to Epic Security and Schedulable Epic Resources, which includes provisioning, modification, inactivating, and auditing. • Work with the Information Security leadership team to help develop a security program and security projects that address risks and business requirements. • Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the enhancement of security workflows. • Assist Director with budgets and planning. • Assist in the management of operational and performance metrics. • Assist with internal and external auditing and remediation of findings • Responsible employee development and mentoring, and performance management. • Facilitate staff engagement and team improvement ideas with commitment to the enterprise and staff retention. • Support the advancement of staff competencies through the creation of development plans. • Identify training needs of staff and assist in developing training plans. • Align team members in roles to best take advantage of their strengths and interests as well as facilitate growth of their skill sets. • Plan, lead, coordinate, and collaborate with IS staff/management along with operational partners to lead projects through the appropriate phases of implementation and support. • Facilitate integrated security workgroups Qualifications And Experience • Minimum 5 years of Epic experience, with at least 2 years focused on SER build and provider master file configuration & managing teams. • Responsible for talent management cycle, including talent acquisition, employee development and mentoring, and performance management. • Facilitate staff engagement and team improvement ideas with commitment to the enterprise and staff retention. • Leads with integrity, maintain strategic orientation, demonstrates business & financial acumen, champions innovation, manages execution, leads & develops people . • Mentoring and teaching, specifically on security concepts and technologies • Leadership of applicable products or platforms • Leading without direct authority. • Leading highly empowered, self-directed teams including cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications • Project Management experience is a PLUS. • Experience leading and managing Epic SER teams for a multi-entity health system or Community Connect environment. • Knowledge of downstream Epic modules such as Cadence, Ambulatory, Professional Billing, and Hospital Billing. • Experience implementing Epic in new hospitals or ambulatory practices. • Prior experience working with data governance committees or Epic councils. • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. • Strong collaboration experience with the ability to work well with people across multiple disciplines, with varying degrees of technical experience. • Meticulous attention to detail. • Strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities. • Ability to work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. • Ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and personal accountability when working with sensitive and restricted data, including protected health information (PHI) • Ability to evaluate and analyze requirements to develop creative solutions that best support Xtensys clients. Education/Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent experience is required. • Epic SER Certification is REQUIRED. Travel Requirements • 5-10% may be required to onsite for upgrades, pre/post ‘go-lives Physical Requirements • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
