Marketing Database Specialist Job Summary: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Marketing Database Specialist to maintain, enhance, and ensure the quality and compliance of our marketing database. This role is responsible for executing data cleansing, enrichment, and governance processes across our marketing automation and CRM platforms to ensure accurate segmentation, campaign execution, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on executor with a passion for data hygiene, platform administration, and global data privacy compliance. Key Responsibilities: Database Management & Execution • Maintain the accuracy, completeness, and health of the marketing database through proactive monitoring, validation, and cleansing. • Upload, manipulate, format, map, and verify data in Excel before importing into Pardot/Salesforce systems. • Perform campaign-related and routine database clean-up and list management tasks. • Support database hygiene efforts by deduplicating, enriching, and standardizing contact and account records. • Create and manage dynamic lists, global suppression lists, automation rules, and completion actions within the marketing automation platform. Data Compliance & Privacy • Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD through proper segmentation, opt-in governance, and field usage. • Maintain and support marketing opt-in data structures within the platform and ensure usage aligns with global policies. • Develop documentation and standards to support data compliance and platform usage. Data Integration & Platform Support • Collaborate with data and technology teams to evaluate new data sources and enrichment tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, D&B, or similar platforms. • Support data flows and enrichment processes between third-party tools, Salesforce, and Pardot (or other MAP platforms). • Assist in executing and testing new data ingestion or automation processes to enhance database quality and completeness. Reporting & Insights • Create recurring reports and presentations on database size, health, and growth to inform stakeholders. • Analyze segments and data issues related to segmentation or platform execution. Data Governance Support • Assist in applying data standards and best practices to ensure consistent field usage and clean data entry across systems. • Identify and flag data quality issues and collaborate with data stewards to resolve them. • Work within the broader data governance framework and support cleansing or deduplication in MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica or Profisee). Qualifications: Required Skills & Experience: • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing marketing or sales databases, ideally in B2B SaaS or a global organization. • Strong knowledge of Excel for manipulating large datasets and experience with CRM and MAP platforms like Pardot, Salesforce, Marketo, or Eloqua. • Familiarity with data enrichment tools such as ZoomInfo, D&B, Hoovers, or LinkedIn Navigator. • Understanding of global data compliance laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their impact on marketing data practices. • Ability to segment audiences for marketing campaigns and interpret requirements for campaign execution. • Strong attention to detail with a passion for data cleanliness and database optimization. • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau (preferred). • Working knowledge of SQL or Access for basic data querying is a plus.
