Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3-5 years experience in purchasing or inventory control, preferably in industrial/manufacturing, strong procurement knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Position: Purchasing Agent 📍 Full-Time | Onsite 🕗 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ,Salary: $75,000-$100,00 Position Summary The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the timely procurement of materials, commodities, supplies, equipment, and services in the correct quantity and quality from qualified suppliers. This role includes negotiating prices and delivery timelines to ensure cost-effective purchasing and executing Purchase Orders (P.O.s) based on signals from the Purchasing Manager or non-inventory requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Monitor and maintain inventory to support company sales activity. • Gather and analyze market data and sales trends, including forecasting product demand fluctuations. • Monitor supply trends and anticipate inventory dips or spikes. • Place and manage Purchase Orders with vendors. • Evaluate vendor performance (e.g., on-time shipments, product quality) to mitigate supply chain risks. • Analyze inventory turnover and average levels. • Collaborate with unloading and yard personnel. • Support sales and operations in managing inventory levels. • Coordinate job site direct deliveries. • Work with the sales team to evaluate and introduce new products. • Report directly to and operate under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field) or equivalent combination of training and experience. • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control and/or purchasing. • Background in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred. • Strong understanding of purchasing and procurement concepts. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
