Job Description X-energy LLC is hiring a Communications Specialist to support its Corporate Communications team. This role is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of communication plans, including writing, editing and/or acquiring content for the internal newsletter, intranet homepage, and direct email communications. This role will focus on developing clear, concise communications which build awareness and drive desired actions from the audience. Job Tasks/Responsibilities • Compile ideas for potential articles and seek out interesting/informative activities occurring inside and outside the organization that have relevance to our employees. • Draft content in line with approved style guide that is free of errors. • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization who contribute content to copy edit and update content to align with approved style guide. • Collaborate with copy editing team to move draft communications through review and approval process prior to distribution. • Gather feedback and readership data regularly and analyze to recommend/implement actions to drive continued enhancement to content and format of the newsletter. • Send company-wide communications from the Xe Updates collaborative inbox. • Proactively update content on the Intranet homepage which will keep employees informed of the current happenings within the organization and outside the organization. • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication. • Execute the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, with minimal supervision. • Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in any field is required, but a field focused on Communications is highly preferred (English, Communications, Marketing). • Level II: Typically, three years of experience required. • Level III: Typically, five years of experience required. • Technology skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications. Preferred Qualifications • Experience within a corporate, agency, or institutional environment. • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a strong attention to detail. • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities. • Experience with intranet CMS platforms or email marketing platforms.
