Job Summary WVFRIS is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Co-Director to join our team. The Executive Co-Directors will direct and coordinate activities of the organization in accordance with established policies to further the achievement of goals, objectives and standards by performing the following duties personally or through staff and board members. Key activities include state and national leadership and collaboration, program and policy development, grant management, resource development and management, staffing responsibilities, budget planning and monitoring, media relations and coordinate with the FRIS Board of Directors. Must live in WV. While this job is fully remote, regular travel throughout the state is required for meetings. Applications will be accepted through October 13th. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Manage the day-to-day operations through supervision of the management team. • Work closely with the other members of the management team to make decisions, facilitate meetings and oversee operations. • Direct or participate in the preparation of educational and informative materials. • Direct and coordinate FRIS activities such as meetings, trainings and resource development to ensure compliance with FRIS’ mission and vision. • Represent FRIS with representatives of government, businesses, and allied organizations. Hold news conferences, deliver speeches, and appear before legislative bodies to present FRIS’ viewpoints and the needs of victims of sexual violence and stalking. • Oversee finances of FRIS, including preparation of long-range forecasts and monthly and annual budget reports. • Facilitate/serve on state-level collaboratives that advance the mission of FRIS. • Plan, develop, and implement new programs and ideas, and confer with project leaders to evaluate services/programs and recommend methods to promote FRIS’s mission. • Oversee monitoring and investigations of contract compliance to enforce standards of contracts. • Visit agencies and participate in activities to maintain goodwill, encourage greater participation in organization activities, and offer assistance. • Continually seek opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, communications, and/or reputation of FRIS and all its projects. • Promote the prevention of sexual violence and stalking and develop resources to enhance services to victims. • Coordinate strategic planning and execute the agency’s vision and mission. FRIS Board of Directors • Support the operation of the FRIS Board of Directors and its activities and coordinate and supervise staff support of Board Committees, task forces, work groups, etc., as may be established by the Board. • Serve as nonvoting members of the Board and Committees. • Facilitate and coordinate meetings of the Board and Committees as needed. Programmatic/Grant Responsibilities • Serve as grant and project administrators • Supervise FRIS’ project staff • Serve as the liaisons among the state-level project partners • Take a lead role as the liaisons between state-level collaboratives engaged in addressing sexual violence (including the SAFE Commission) and the WVSARTT • Create an annual legislative update related to victim services • Take a lead role in policy development expertise and implementation • Assist in planning webinars and trainings • Attend OVW-sponsored trainings • Ensure all reports are submitted in a timely manner • Ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
