Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development Company Overview: WuXi AppTec is a leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrated R&D and manufacturing services. Role Overview: As the Senior Director of Business Development for the Biology Division, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business footprint in the US market. You will lead the sales process, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. What You'll Do: - You will proactively manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. - You will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. - You will develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed yearly revenue targets. - You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts. - You will identify market trends and customer needs to inform business strategies. - You will represent WuXi AppTec at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility. - You will provide leadership and mentorship to junior business development staff. What You Bring: - You have at least 10 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors. - You possess a deep understanding of the biology research market and related technologies. - You have proven success in managing complex sales processes and achieving revenue goals. - You demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working within or with CROs (Contract Research Organizations). - Established network of contacts in the US biotech and pharmaceutical industries. - Familiarity with regulatory environments and drug development processes. - Prior leadership experience managing a high-performing sales team.
