Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development Company Overview: WuXi AppTec is a leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrated R&D and manufacturing services. Role Overview: As the Senior Director of Business Development for the Biology Division, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business footprint in the US market. You will lead the sales process, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. What You'll Do: - You will proactively manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. - You will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. - You will develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed yearly revenue targets. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with company goals. - You will identify market trends and customer needs to inform business strategies. - You will represent WuXi AppTec at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility. - You will mentor and guide junior team members to foster professional growth. What You Bring: - You bring at least 10 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors. - You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market. - You possess strong knowledge of the biology and life sciences industry. - You have excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. - You are adept at strategic planning and pipeline management. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working within a global pharmaceutical services company. - Established network of contacts in the US biotech and pharma industries. - Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or related field. - Familiarity with regulatory environments and drug development processes.
