Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development Company Overview: WuXi AppTec is a leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrated R&D and manufacturing services. Role Overview: As the Senior Director of Business Development for the Biology Division, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business footprint in the US market. You will lead the sales process, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. What You'll Do: - You will proactively manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. - You will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. - You will develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed yearly revenue targets. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with company goals. - You will identify market trends and customer needs to inform business strategies. - You will represent WuXi AppTec at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility. - You will mentor and guide junior team members to foster professional growth. What You Bring: - You bring at least 10 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors. - You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market. - You possess strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - You have a deep understanding of the US biology and pharmaceutical market landscape. - You are adept at strategic planning and pipeline management. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a global pharmaceutical or CRO environment. - Established network of industry contacts in the US biology sector. - Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or related fields. - Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
