This position centers on developing a deep understanding of day-to-day workflows, evaluating the robustness of operational practices, and partnering across the organization to enhance efficiency, transparency, and organizational readiness. Reporting directly to senior leadershipwith close collaboration across Commercial, Finance, and Operational teamsthe Enterprise Operations & Risk Lead will diagnose areas of operational and enterprise risk, assess how decisions are made and executed, and work with stakeholders to design targeted enhancements that support consistent performance and long?term business durability. Key Responsibilities • Conduct end-to-end assessments of key functions (including Finance, Operations, and related business units) to evaluate process quality, control environments, and risk exposure. • Provide an independent point of view on how teams identify, quantify, and manage enterprise and operational risks. • Partner with functional leaders to implement process improvements that elevate decision quality, operational clarity, and accountability. • Act as an internal consultant on operational resilience, governance, and continuous improvement, offering structured problem-solving and strategic guidance. • Thoughtfully challenge existing workflows and assumptions to ensure decisions align with the firms strategic priorities and risk appetite. • Strengthen cross?functional alignment by surfacing shared risks, interdependencies, and opportunities for operational uplift. • Assist senior management in establishing effective reporting, monitoring, and escalation routines for key operational and risk indicators. • Track and interpret emerging risksincluding credit, regulatory, and market?related developmentsthat may affect the firms lending or advisory activities. • Deliver practical, business?oriented recommendations that reinforce strong risk practices while enabling growth and innovation. Minimum Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in risk, credit, and/or operational roles within direct lending, investment advisory, and/or management consultants working with credit investment firms. • Strong knowledge of credit?centric business models, asset?based lending structures, and portfolio risk dynamics. • Demonstrated ability to optimize processes in fast?growing, entrepreneurial financial environments. • Proven success influencing senior leaders and driving meaningful operational and risk?management improvements. • Familiarity with enterprise risk frameworks and governance models, with an emphasis on pragmatic, commercially focused application. • Outstanding analytical, communication, and relationship?building abilities; adept at translating risk themes into actionable recommendations. • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple business areas with minimal oversight. • Bachelors degree required; advanced credentials such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are advantageous.
