Join WSP USA as a Controls Engineering Intern in Milwaukee, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship in a 12-week summer program. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. • Learn basic principles of Controls Engineering. • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates. • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation. • Complete training on assigned tasks. • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. About You The company is looking for: • Active enrollment in an accredited Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Undergraduate program with anticipated graduation August 2026 or later. • Must be 18 years or older. • Demonstrated interest in Controls Engineering or related field with a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects. • Competent interpersonal and communication skills for professional interaction with engineering and non-engineering audiences. • Ability to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects. • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools. • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies. • Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship. Compensation & Benefits • Expected pay range: $19.13 - $30.00 per hour. • No relocation or housing assistance provided. Training & Development • Participation in WSP’s Developing Professionals Network offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and career connections. • Completion of training on assigned tasks.
