WSP is currently searching for a highly experienced and motivated Geomatics Market Lead / Project Manager to join their Midwest Region Geomatics Team. This role involves leading project delivery, business development, and staff mentorship while ensuring technical excellence in delivering surveying and geospatial solutions for Power and Energy projects across the Midwest. Responsibilities • Mentor and support local staff with a focus on geomatics standards, career development, and technical growth • Foster collaboration across disciplines and offices to deliver integrated solutions • Promote a culture of innovation, inclusion, safety, and excellence within the Geomatics team • Inspire and motivate staff while maintaining strong team morale and engagement • Lead client engagement and relationship development across the Midwest region • Drive strategic growth of geomatics services within the Power and Energy market • Develop proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets tailored to client needs • Identify cross-discipline opportunities and collaborate with internal and external partners • Manage and oversee geomatics projects including surveying, mapping, GIS, remote sensing, and SUE • Lead preparation of estimates, proposals, and technical deliverables • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and QA/QC procedures • Provide technical leadership and governance across major projects and pursuits • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in geomatics practices • Lead initiatives to enhance project delivery, quality, and client satisfaction • Support recruitment, training, and development of geomatics staff • Collaborate with internal departments and subconsultants to optimize performance • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Skills • Bachelor's degree in geomatics, land surveying, GIS, remote sensing, or related field • 10+ years of experience in geomatics services, with a focus on Power and Energy • Proven track record of winning and managing geomatics projects for investor-owned utilities and other energy companies • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills • Experience with CAD and geospatial data processing software • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively • Knowledge of land surveying and geospatial analysis principles and practices • Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams • Commitment to safety, ethics, and WSP's Code of Conduct • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and be willing to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies • Master's degree is a plus • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license; multiple licenses highly preferred • FAA Part 107, CP/CMS, GISP, or PMP certifications • Established relationships with investor-owned utilities and other energy companies Benefits • Coverage related to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life • Retirement savings • Paid sick leave • Paid vacation (or other personal time) • Paid parental leave • Paid time off for purposes of bereavement, voting, and/or attendance at naturalization proceedings Company Overview • What if you could shape built and natural environments – and the future of those that use them?
