The Benefits Implementation Specialist is responsible for configuring and supporting client benefits programs within the UKG Ready HCM platform. This includes managing open enrollment, ACA compliance, and providing client training and support throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 3-5 years in benefits administration or system implementation. A strong understanding of ACA regulations and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.

The Benefits Implementation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the successful configuration and support of client benefits programs within the UKG Ready HCM platform. This includes initial benefits configuration, cyclical open enrollment setup, ACA compliance and annual filing, and overall client support throughout the benefits implementation lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with internal teams and directly with clients to configure benefits plans, train users, and ensure a seamless experience. This role is highly client-facing and requires a strong understanding of benefits administration, ACA regulations, and HRIS systems. Responsibilities Benefits Setup & Configuration Lead implementation and configuration of client benefit plans within the UKG Ready Benefits module. Set up benefit plan rules, eligibility criteria, life event processing, and plan documentation. Manage open enrollment setup and testing annually, ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction. ACA Compliance & Filing Liaison with third-party filing vendor regarding the implementation and configuration of client’s ACA module. Oversee the end-to-end ACA filing process for clients, including data validation, form generation (1094/1095), and coordination with third-party filing vendor. Communicate ACA deadlines and best practices to clients. Host year-end ACA webinars and Q&A sessions, and support clients with issue resolution. Client Communication & Training Serve as the primary point of contact for client benefit configuration questions and updates. Provide training and documentation to clients on system use, benefits setup, and compliance requirements. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution. Collaboration & Project Support Work closely with Project Managers, HRIS Consultants, and other internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met. Assist in gathering requirements and documenting client needs related to benefits. Update project documentation, trackers, and shared files to support knowledge sharing and continuity. Process & Quality Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes and improve the client implementation experience. Ensure all project tasks are completed accurately and on time, with attention to compliance and quality standards. Required Skill Sets and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration or benefits system implementation, preferably in UKG Ready or a similar HCM platform. Strong understanding of ACA compliance, regulations, and filing processes. Experience configuring benefit plans, open enrollment, and ACA during implementation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR/benefits-related certification. Familiarity with project management tools like Setuply, Smartsheet, Asana, or Jira. Experience working in a SaaS or cloud-based software environment. What’s in it for you? The base annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 based on candidate's experience, education, and geographic location.
