Full Description

Job Responsibilities: • Lead and produce original illustrations that anchor creative concepts and visual narratives. • Design content across a variety of deliverables - including animated content, conceptual story-boards, and compelling visual executions - with illustration at the core. • Translate briefs into distinctive visual storytelling rooted in illustration and supported by strong design fundamentals. • Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, and motion teams to bring illustrated ideas to life. • Present illustrated work clearly and confidently to internal teams and clients. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, particularly in areas of visual storytelling and illustrative execution. • Keep a pulse on illustration trends, styles, and techniques - pushing the team creatively and conceptually. Education: • Bachelor's Degree Required in Design or similar field Experience: • 10+ years of professional design experience, ideally in a digital agency or editorial environment. • A portfolio showcasing expert-level illustration, animation and/or motion design, strong typographic finesse, and conceptual thinking. Skills Required: • Experience with Illustration, motion design, and creative direction. • Proficiency in motion design tools such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, or similar. • Strong background in design. • The ability to take vague direction and deliver solid creative executions. • Understand and push the boundaries of brand guidelines, elevating work through your creative vision and insights. • Exceptional eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy. • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with Figma. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and calm. • Strong communication skills and the confidence to articulate designdecisions. Travel Requirements: • Limited Travel required (Up to 10% Domestic) Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay. The well-being of WWT employees is essential.
