Qualifications: * Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data engineering technologies and tools such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL databases. * Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, or Databricks including data storage, processing, and migration services. * Big Data Technologies: Strong understanding of big data architectures, data lakes, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. * Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. * Data Integration: Experience with data integration tools and techniques, including APIs, data pipelines, and real-time data processing. * Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data management concepts for non-technical audiences. * Customer Focus: Strong customer engagement skills with a proven ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions. * Experience creating technical documentation, research articles, and training materials. * Experience working in a pre-sales or customer-facing role. * Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications in data engineering, big data, or cloud platforms. * Preferred Experience with AI: Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, and how they intersect with data engineering. Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $210,000.00 to $215,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay. The well-being of WWT employees is essential. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and customer-facing skills to help our clients understand and implement data solutions that drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in the enterprise sector and a deep understanding of data engineering. Additionally, have a foundational understanding of data governance, analytics & visualizations, and data science principles. Responsibilities: * Solution Design: Collaborate with sales and technical teams to design and architect scalable data solutions that meet client needs and business goals. * Customer Guidance: Guide customers through the technology landscape, clarifying how data management tools and techniques can solve specific business challenges and outlining preliminary implementation plans. * Opportunity Qualification: Utilize qualification tools to identify and qualify service opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals. * Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team to foster a unified approach to Data solutions. * Partner Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with strategic Data partners, coordinate Data initiatives, and ensure our solutions remain market-leading. * Pre-Sales Engagement: Act as a technical expert during pre-sales engagements, effectively communicating complex Data management concepts to non-technical stakeholders. * Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that articulate the value of our Data management solutions. * Client Collaboration: Work with sales teams to understand client needs and tailor Data solutions accordingly. * Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on data strategy and client solutions. * Research and Experimentation: Conduct hands-on research and experiments in our AI Proving Ground lab to explore new data management concepts and technologies. * Data Strategy Practice Understanding: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our data practice, products, and services. * Content Creation: Create informative research articles and technical documentation on data management concepts, trends, and advancements. * Training Development: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on data best practices and our data management solutions to internal teams and clients.
