The Manager, Business Systems is responsible for guiding a team of Business Systems Analysts to deliver process improvements and technology solutions. This role involves partnering with business stakeholders and IT to ensure business needs are met and solutions align with strategic objectives.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with 5-10 years in business systems analysis or project management. Preferred qualifications include certifications in Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, and experience with Oracle and Salesforce.
Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or similar degree preferred or equivalent work experience * Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, PMP Certification, Agile or Scrum Certification, Design Thinking preferred * 5-10 years of experience in business systems analysis, architecture, or project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. * Proven success in professional services, technology, or internal consulting environments * Strong command of business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., process modeling, requirements gathering, data analysis, Agile frameworks). * Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills — able to drive alignment and influence without authority. * Experience managing ambiguity and driving clarity in complex, cross-functional initiatives. * Strong business acumen and situational awareness to ensure goals, scope, and domain knowledge are clearly shared across the team. * Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, effective decision-making, and conflict resolution. * Working knowledge of business process and lifecycle management principles, industry practices, and standards. * Ability to adapt to changing roles and priorities while maintaining delivery focus. * Self-starter with proven experience managing a team with minimal oversight. * Strong negotiation skills, especially in managing stakeholder expectations and driving priorities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including Visio * Experience with Oracle (i.e. FI, CPQ, PPM) and Salesforce is preferred Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $115,000.00 to $144,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. The Manager, Business Systems is a strategic leader responsible for guiding a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSA) to deliver process improvements and technology solutions that enable organizational scale, efficiency, and growth. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT, and leadership to ensure business needs are clearly defined, solutions are aligned with strategic objectives, and system implementations are effective and sustainable. Success in this role requires a consultative mindset—building trusted relationships, asking the right questions, and challenging the status quo to uncover true business needs and opportunities. The manager oversees project intake, prioritization, and delivery of BSA work, ensuring consistency in methodology, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Acting as both a coach and subject matter expert, the Manager, Business Systems develops team capabilities, fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation, and ensures business requirements are translated into actionable designs that drive measurable outcomes for the organization. Responsibilities: * Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of BSAs. * Act as a trusted consultant to senior leaders, translating strategic goals into actionable initiatives. * Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities for operational improvement and innovation. * Provide oversight and guidance on the development of business cases, process maps, requirements documentation, solution designs, and testing. * Ensure a structured, objective-driven approach to problem-solving and project delivery. * Champion best practices in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management. * Monitor team performance, project outcomes, and business impact metrics. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional growth. * Ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational strategy and deliver measurable business value. * Is technically savvy and partners closely with IT, helping IT to align and deliver to the defined business objectives. * Is organized and understands basic structures and frameworks (such as SDLC, Agile, etc) to coach and mentor the BSA team to optimally operate and adjust to the fluid environment.
