Role and Responsibilities The Premiums Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing premium and commission receivables and ensuring timely collection and accurate application of incoming client payments. Working closely with account teams, accounting personnel, and leadership, this position plays a key role in supporting cash flow, resolving discrepancies, maintaining account accuracy, and building positive internal and external relationships. The role requires diligent follow-up, clear communication, and detailed documentation. This is a fully remote role with periodic travel as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Monitor and follow up on outstanding client premium balances to ensure timely collection. Accurately apply incoming payments to client accounts in accordance with remittance detail. Prepare and document for disbursements of return premiums to clients or premium financing companies, in collaboration with account teams. Reconcile client accounts regularly and resolve discrepancies or disputes in collaboration with internal teams and clients. Maintain detailed documentation of receivables activity and correspondence. Generate and review aging reports to support visibility and action planning on delinquent items. Partner with service teams and accounting to align on receivables strategy and execution. Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits. Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to receivables and cash application processes. Qualifications EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Prior experience in accounts receivable or insurance premium accounting strongly preferred. Proficiency in Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high volume and time sensitive transactions. Ability to work independently and on a team High degree of professional communication and tactful negotiation skills.
