Full Description

Purpose This executive-level consultant position develops and deploys people, equity, and culture strategies that address complex client challenges. The person in this role is responsible for identifying and leading solutions that integrate principles of transparency, fairness, respect, justice, accessibility, and accountability into organizational culture, systems, and practices for the purpose of fostering lasting, positive change for our client organizations. Key Responsibilities People & Culture Partnership • The Director of People & Culture provides HR guidance and coaching to clients on various topics, including policies, performance management, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, and workforce development. • The Director of People & Culture identifies workforce needs by participating in and creating tools that assess processes, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and other non-subjective measures. • The Director of People & Culture proactively recommends people, equity, and culture strategies and interventions that meet client needs and are aligned with industry best practices. • The Director of People & Culture develops and analyzes trends, metrics, and policies that provide updated solutions, programs, policies, and training that inspire positive organizational practices and behaviors. • The Director of People & Culture resolves complex employee relations issues by conducting equitable, thorough, non-biased, and objective investigations. • The Director of People & Culture develops and delivers training on topics of emerging people, equity, and culture. Strategic Recruitment • This position develops comprehensive recruitment and selection processes focusing on recruiting diverse candidate pools while ensuring a positive candidate experience. • This position provides individualized candidate communication and support throughout the recruitment process. • This position leads client recruitment processes, including developing process timelines, providing regular updates to the client, preparing for and leading candidate presentation meetings, and managing all recruitment activities for assigned openings. • This position develops and deploys various candidate sourcing and outreach strategies to ensure that client openings receive diverse candidate pools and meet all qualifications. • This position attends events and other networking opportunities to build a broad network that can be leveraged to support client recruitment outcomes and various strategic people and culture needs that might arise. • This position interfaces with marketing to ensure descriptive position advertising and outreach efforts that present the role responsibilities in a manner that is both clear and inviting to all qualified applicants. Client Engagement • In this role, you will be expected to build positive client relationships through communication and deliver outcomes promptly and professionally. • This position leads various contractual relationships, ensuring outcomes are achieved within identified timelines and quality expectations. • This position participates in business development activities, such as developing proposals, meeting with prospective clients, identifying potential opportunities, networking, representing Workplace Change at events, and drafting or previewing original print or social media content. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for clients and junior colleagues. Desired Attributes The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience implementing people, equity, and culture solutions with organization-wide impact. Experience must include extensive responsibility for coaching, advising, and influencing executive leaders and providing consultation on sensitive, complex, and nuanced workplace matters. Additional desired knowledge, skills, and abilities include: • Experience identifying and addressing systems of oppression within organizations and rebuilding or revising systems that promote transparency, fairness, respect, and access. • Expertise in human resources disciplines, including employee and/or labor relations, classification and compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, and HR data. • Experience developing and deploying project management and change enablement plans to successfully implement organizational change. • Ability to influence and create alignment across diverse groups through facilitation and coaching. • Ability to lead engaging, inclusive meetings and workshops.
