Description We're looking for a highly motivated and versatile Culture and Workplace Manager to lead our employee experience and workplace culture initiatives in San Diego. You'll champion our company's values through thoughtful programs, seamless operations, and by creating engaging, welcoming office environments. This role is ideal for someone who believes exceptional employee experience is shaped by both strategic initiatives and meticulous attention to everyday details. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and has a genuine passion for people, workplace culture and operational excellence. This is a 60% position, working three days per week in the San Diego Workiz office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday What You’ll Do Employee Experience & Culture Own and enhance the employee experience - from onboarding through ongoing engagement - to ensure each employee interaction aligns meaningfully with our values. Champion employee engagement by conceiving, planning, and executing innovative, employee-centric initiatives, including our summer and winter parties, happy hours, team-building activities, and celebrating key employee milestones (promotions, anniversaries, birthdays). Support and enhance the new hire onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and welcoming integration for all new team members into the Workiz culture. Collaborate with global teams to align local employee experience initiatives with broader company goals, ensuring regional relevance and global cohesion. Office Operations & Workplace Environment Act as the primary point of contact for office operations, ensuring our San Diego office is welcoming, functional, and reflective of our culture. Oversee all aspects of office management, from workspace organization, supplies inventory, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance, to enhancing office aesthetics and comfort. Collaborate with our IT team to assist with administrative tasks related to equipment management, including maintaining inventory, tracking assets, ensuring adequate stock levels, and coordinating distribution to new and current employees. Employer Branding Craft compelling employer branding initiatives to authentically showcase our culture and attract diverse, high-quality candidates across multiple channels, including social media and professional networks. Strategic People Operations Support HR operations, including onboarding processes, HRIS management, compensation, benefits administration, and compliance. Utilize data-driven insights to continuously improve HR processes and employee experience programs. Requirements 3-5 years experience in Employee Experience, People Operations, or combined Office Management/HR roles, from fast-paced tech or startup environments - a must. Ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute engaging company events (e.g., team-building activities, social gatherings, employee recognition events) including logistics, vendor coordination, and budget management. Passionate about fostering an outstanding workplace environment and building meaningful employee experiences. Comfort managing budgets, vendor relationships, and invoice reconciliation. Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Highly proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively at all levels. Proficiency with HRIS platforms. Proficient in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Bonus Points If You Have: Experience in a rapidly growing SaaS or tech startup environment. Familiarity with California and Federal employment laws. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $42,000–$50,000 per annum, based on a 60% workload.
