Systoc administrator's duties typically involve a blend of general IT system administration and specific tasks related to the healthcare software: • System Management and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain the SYSTOC software, ensuring high availability and performance of the system and its underlying servers and databases. • User Support and Training: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clinical and administrative staff using the EMR system. This may include resolving access issues and training users on proper system use and data entry. • Data and Security Management: Implement security measures, manage user accounts and permissions, and ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations like HIPAA. Perform regular data backups and test disaster recovery procedures to safeguard patient information. • Reporting and Documentation: Assist end-users in running reports (e.g., saved searches, custom reports) and generate performance-related data for management. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and operational procedures. • Updates and Upgrades: Coordinate and perform the installation and testing of SYSTOC updates, patches, and new releases, often working with third-party vendors to resolve technical problems. • Integration and Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems like labs (HL7 exchange), billing (EDI), and general IT infrastructure (Active Directory, email).
