Winpak Portion Packaging Ltd. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Department based out of Sauk Village, Illinois. In this role, you will support product costing, financial reporting, profitability analysis, and capital project evaluation while providing key insights to drive operational and financial decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial planning, reporting, and performance management. Key Responsibilities: • Product Costing: Assist in preparing and analyzing costing models for new and existing products, ensuring accurate reflection of material, labor, and overhead components. • Month-End Reporting: Assist with monthly close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of financial reports. • Profitability Analysis: Develop and maintain reporting on product line profitability, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. • Capital Projects (PARs): Assist in preparing Project Appropriation Requests (PARs), including financial justification, ROI analysis, and tracking of approved projects. • Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Contribute to annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, working with business partners to gather and validate assumptions. • Collaboration: Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights supporting business objectives. • Ad Hoc Analysis: Support the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with special projects, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing finance or accounting environment. • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SAP or other advanced ERP systems. • CPA, CMA, or MBA designation preferred. • Experience with financial modeling or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI). • Prior experience supporting continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives. Additional Details: This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with standard business hours. Minimal travel may be required (<10%). Compensation Range: The compensation range is $90,000 -$115,000. Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise and is subject to vary. Why Winpak?
